I bought my Perlick taps from this guy a year and a half ago and was happy with the service.

    Spooks On Tv

Just what I need. My neighbours are likely to call the cops next time I leave my kegs drying on the front veranda if they see this! "Homebrew. It's da bomb!"

    Licensing Help In Vic

I did mention excise, you're right though it's such a big issue it's worth mentioning twice :). Good write up on excise in the latest Beer & Brewer magazine.

    2011 Close-enough-to-get-to-adelaide Autumn Case Swap

Currently they are happening about once a quarter (planning for winter has already started here). I'd say there's a good chance of a spring/summer swap. In the past there has always been one around Christmas time.

    Licensing Help In Vic

You'd better get a lawyer son. You'd better get a real good one. Seriously. To start even a small production brewery you'll be dealing with all 3 tiers of government (Federal, State and Local) in areas such as liquor licensing, excise, waste management, manufacturing laws, food safety...

Not much to discuss, I leave my gas on all the time and so far haven't had any issues. That was the question right?

    T.a.s.t.e. 2011 Close-enough-to-get-to-adelaide Autumn Case Swap Threa

#1 QuantumBrewer - Not-so-Irish Not-so-Red Poured an opaque dark "not so red" brown. My guess is if this were clear you'd get some lovely red hues when looking through the glass into a light. Malty aroma with no noticeable yeast esters, small white head with low to medium carbonation. Clean...

And... #10 DrSmurto - Bo Pils I had some good and bad luck with this beer, good luck was I ended up with 2 bottles of it but the bad luck was that one tipped over on some tiles and shattered  . Luckily the second one made it safely to my fridge and then to my table for tasting and...

Catching up on posting some of my tasting notes as scribbled on the back on an old envelope... #16 Nevalicious - South Pacific IPA Poured an opaque dark brown with a white head that quickly dissipated (not ruling out my glassware here). Good carbonation level. Aroma was of hops first followed...

    Nice Brew

You don't mention your volume so it's hard to say but for a "standard" 23l batch you're around 70% efficiency which is fine. Thanks for sharing it looks tasty! If you want to get your FG down try mashing at a bit lower temperature. Say around 65-67 degrees. By mashing at 70 degrees you will be...

    Adding Chocolate To A Porter

I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything on the process you used to roast the raw cacao nibs. A Google search found this: What method did you use?
