Adding Frangelico in Brown Ale wort, weird?

Don't know, sugar is listed 2nd of the ingedients. I will take an OG reading, add frangelico and take another reading a while later.

Aah, thanks for that, 1 700ml bottle in 25lts will be ok? Guess i will find out.

Adding Frangelico in Brown Ale wort, weird?

Hi everyone, as title eludes to, i would like to add Frangelico to my brew. I know it's generally added to primary or secondary, but trying to work out sugar content for bottling is something my tired old brain can't get around. I read if adding to primary you need to boil it to dilute/get rid...

    What's wrong with this picture?

Weldless yes, into a female tapered thread, so sold for the wrong purpose.

    What's wrong with this picture?

If used for the right purpose, i.e. thick walled tubing or heat/cooling jackets, not thin walled stainless vessels using nuts & washers, sure you can make them work, more likely too leak.

    What's wrong with this picture?

Not being a Fitter or Plumber, but my guess tapered thread are not for that purpose and straight thread should be used.

Don't think so, i've been using CO2 bottle, except for the playing around when i first received initial kegs and reg set up, and still have metallic taste. At one stage i thought my taste buds were tuned into metal, but glad i'm not alone.

    Red Alert

My Red Rye IPA using mostly Gladfield 3.6kg Gladfield Ale 1.0kg Best Rye 0.7kg Gladfield Aurora 0.35kg Gladfield Redback 0.15kg Gladfield Shepherds Delight SRM 11.8. Compared to SNPA @ 9.2 SRM, definitely a red hue, happy with it so far, next time may cut back to 11SRM, and no funny business...

I basically did the same, without scrubbing, as they had no black gunk but did have fluid remaining of differing amounts. So i assume they hadn't been passivated correctly, ie dried and aired for a reasonable time. After my attempt they smell the same as before, have filled a couple but not...

    Amarillo AA%

Cheers Mark, think i will adjust for a lower AA, just coming up to boil at the mo.

    Amarillo AA%

On G&Gs sight under general specs listed as 8-11%, i suppose under very different climatic conditions AA can be affected, hence the Manticle comment

Must learn how to that, normally just update as i buy them.

    Amarillo AA%

Never seen Amarillo vary that much, but yeah, is possible.

    Amarillo AA%

Unfortunately don't have any early 2016 packets left, but sure they were around that mark. Brewing a Golden Ale so will either be 32IBU @14% or 22IBU @ 9%. JSGA sight has IBU @ 20, so will be close to the mark, although the previous 4-5 brews have been around 32IBU. Chers Kaiserben

    Amarillo AA%

Hi guys, got some 2016 Amarillo, this pack has 14% AA, seems high for Amarillo, G&G say that's what was on there supply sheet, all the info i can find has Amarillo 7-11%. Guess i'll have to go with 14% and if they're lower suffer the consequences, aiming for 32IBU @ 14%, if they're 10 or lower...

    Braumeister - Tips & Tricks

Funny, i used to mash in 23lts and dump sparge 10lts and get over 80%, but lifting hot water the height i needed to, something had to change, so now use a little brown pump with the 2 x 4.5, found a rest in between helps.

    Braumeister - Tips & Tricks

If i can lift efficiency a tad would be good, output limited by 30lt fermenters, 25lts is enough, don't want to be cleaning out the ferment fridge every brew. Some times 25 is too much depending on yeast.

    Braumeister - Tips & Tricks

With ya on that Crusty, i currently mash in ~5kg with 24lts, sparge with 2x4.5lts, (5 mins in between)~30lts boil, ~24.5-25lts in fermenter. Next brew , this week, will mash in with 27lts & sparge with 6lts, should be a good comparison, generally attain 76-78% BH efficiency.

No forgive me, for i don't have the gift of the gab, as you do, but yes 18, 8 from ATHB as BB2 was winding up, & 10 BB4. They do look prurdy though, & love the idea, especially for people like me who don't have, not allowed a beer fridge.
