    Where to Buy Beer Line

This is what happened. It split at the end of the barb and there were micro fractures along the wall of the pipe, as you can see when I pushed that punch in there.

    Where to Buy Beer Line

Yeah, totally didn't know at the time. I was just getting into kegging. I guess I just assumed it was of a reasonable standard, being an item that holds gas n all.

    Where to Buy Beer Line

Righto! The Keg King stuff I had on my gas side perished because of UV attack. Within a couple of months no less. Lost 10kg of gas. Have since replaced with dedicated gas double wall braided hose.

What's the advantage of nylon barrier tube? Just googled it and it didn't come up with much.

    Where to Buy Beer Line

I have an upright freezer with 2 commercial 30l kegs. The line can be flexible or stiff. Doesn't matter.

    Where to Buy Beer Line

In the market for some new beer line. Have some Keg King line at the moment and it got kinkier than an old garden hose in no time. Not really very impressed with it. I totally got what I paid for. Any recommendations on decent beer line? Places or brands?

    STC-1000 Set Point Preferences

I guess they work largely hand-in-hand. Would I be correct in saying that 0.5°C difference and delay of 10 mins is largely the same as a 1°C difference and delay of say 5 mins? In terms of temp fluctuations and compressor on-time?

    STC-1000 Set Point Preferences

So, I've just wired up my STC-1000 for a ferment fridge with heating and cooling. It's an old upright freezer. Now I'm looking around for the best settings to avoid damaging the compressor etc. I've read quite a few threads and there seems to be a variety of responses. From this search I've...

Ferment Fridge Build - To Heat or Not to Heat in Brisbane?

I've seen the Inkbird itc-1000. Is there an advantage to using them? The stuff online I've read looks to be from the guy who makes them or just about Fahrenheit.

And the compressor delay? It can be set too I've been reading. Just the standard 3 minutes seems to be what everyone is doing.

Ferment Fridge Build - To Heat or Not to Heat in Brisbane?

Set to 1°C differential sounds pretty good. Does anyone else have any other experiences with what differential worked/didn't work for them? I'd like to get it going good out of the blocks.

Ferment Fridge Build - To Heat or Not to Heat in Brisbane?

I'm going to do something fairly benign like a heat pad. I know that those bulbs can get pretty hot. Stuffed in a corner it could cause a mischief.

Ferment Fridge Build - To Heat or Not to Heat in Brisbane?

We do a fair bit of beer here. There could be 4 x 30 litre brews in there.

Ferment Fridge Build - To Heat or Not to Heat in Brisbane?

Ok, I'm convinced I should install a heat circuit. I'm looking at some reptile heat cords and pads. I like them because I could stick them to a few walls and they'll be unobtrusive. (Not really keen on a light source in with beer either.) How many watts should do the trick?

Ferment Fridge Build - To Heat or Not to Heat in Brisbane?

Hmm, it probably is worth the extra effort to install a heating circuit. nickxb said his was at 14-15°C during the winter months. Could be problematic with some yeasts.

Ferment Fridge Build - To Heat or Not to Heat in Brisbane?

I'm planning to use one of those stc100 controllers for my ferment fridge build. With this thing I can build in a heating circuit for winter months. This is my question: Does one need a heating circuit in the extremely temperate climate of Brisbane? I'm thinking several things: The contents...
