    Keg Transfer Made Easy...

I tried reversing the kegs and still no good. The only possible thing it must be is the liquid-to-liquid connectors and line that connects them. I'll have to go and buy some more. It can't be a blockage in the kegs as I can hook up a beer line with a simple tap and the beer pours out of either...

    Keg Transfer Made Easy...

I did try that, I had the donor keg hooked up directly to the gas bottle, it didn't matter, the beer wouldn't flow. My only thought is that is a blockage or some issue with the liquid to liquid connection? I don't know.

    Keg Transfer Made Easy...

I'm not sure what's going on but this just isn't working for me - any thoughts on what might be the problem would be appreciated, here's my situation: I have two kegs, both are half full with the same beer so I want to move the beer from one keg to the other. They are both pressurised and hold...

Pressure Ferment - Closed Transfer to Keg

Hi My first pressure ferment is complete on my fermzilla and the pressure is at ~ 15 psi. I'm looking to do a closed transfer to a keg tomorrow and just wanted some validation as to the best method for this, particularly how to avoid foaming. I was thinking I'd reduce the pressure in the...

The Corona Virus (COVID 19) Thread

I see your point however I'd say that panic buying toilet roll is "dramatic". The calculated mortality rate is based on reported cases. The actual cases is likely to be a fair bit higher thus reducing the mortality rate.

The Corona Virus (COVID 19) Thread

Am I missing something or does it all seem a bit over blown with lots of media hysteria? You are only going to die if you are old and/ or have some existing health issue. The mortality rate is more than the flu but not dramatically so.

    Robobrew V3 vs Guten

I bought a 40L Guten when Keg King first released them which I can't remember exactly but must be a good 2 years now. I buy equipment from both Keg places so have no axe to grind either way. The Guten has been rock solid for me and been a great purchase, nothing at all to complain about, it's...

    CO2 leak in kegging system

Hi All I'm a bit puzzled at the moment and hope someone might have some ideas. I've a small keg setup, in my small bar fridge I have the CO2 bottle and two 19L cornies. I've had this setup for between 12 - 18 months and it's been fine. Two weeks ago I removed the gas bottle from the kegerator...

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

Thanks for the suggestion Rusted. I took myself off to the Juices section in Coles and there were various options. I settled on a bottle of Cranberry juice and the lid works perfectly. Cheers!

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

Thanks. A milk top is too small. I'm hoping bee2gee can respond with a specific suggestion given he makes them up himself.

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

Hey bee2gee Your iSpindel is still working wonders but I was about to use it today and I got lucky and noticed that the lid has split (see attached) before I put it in contact with any liquid. So, any ideas where I can buy a replacement lid for the ispindel you make up? Thanks

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Kegland - I just bought the AllRounder Fermzilla and I drilled into the lid as per the youtube video to install the thermowell. When I pressure tested the Fermzilla I get a leak out of the thermowell where the o-ring connects to the lid. Now I think I did a botched job of drilling the hole and...

    Fermzilla

Yes, ok. Thanks. I have an ispindel which works well so I only take the one reading right at the end before keg transfer to get an accurate FG. Do you have it under pressure from day 1 of the fermentation or do you only close it part way through?

    Fermzilla

It's likely I'm going to buy the FermZilla All-Rounder next week and I had a question re how others take samples for their hydrometer to check the FG during fermentation. So am I right in saying in order to get a sample I'd have to attach a CO2 bottle via the gas connector and then hook up a...

    Catastrophic or not?

We've all done something daft! It won't be catastrophic. Baking Soda would have reacted with the acid to neutralize some of it and therefore increase the Ph. Baking powder has acid in it, usually acetic acid so your wort Ph will not have increased as you would have liked, in fact it might...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

Do you have dimensions for the new fermenter? The stand looks very high making it difficult to fit into my fridge. You think it could be sold with the shorter stub nose stand?

    Anyone Using Brewfather?

Not really. I like the way you frame it as just a developer wanting to share in the development effort etc. It just happens to be free that way as well though doesn't it so you don't have to pay. End result of the same, you don't have to pay. "As a software developer I'd like it to be open...
