    I have bulk primed straight into the FV, you just have to stir it gently so it doesn't disturb the trub, haven't had any issues yet. 160g dex noiled up for 5min in 500ml of water

    Gee that seems like a lot, for a 23l batch i use 160G of Dex and that is plenty. PS i just dissolve it in 1/2L of water and add to FV, carefully stirring so it doesn't stir up yeast cake on bottom

    I use 160g boiled up in 500ml of water for 5 mins, then stir into FV, let it stand for about 10 mins and bottle, carb up nicely, better than drops. This is for 23L

    I have just started doing bulk priming in FV, i just add it straight in and stir with a sterlised spoon, let it sit for about 10 minutes then bottle. No need to transfer to secondary or bottling bucket. It seems to carbonate just as good, if not better than using carb drops. Give it a go and...

    Here in Sunny Ballarat, i too leave them in the shed, 1 month is what i leave them for and they seem fine. Also just grab 1/2 doz and store inside somewhere to speed some up if needed

    I have rigged up a 40watt light on a piece of timber that is jammed across the top of my Tuckerbox freezer, seems to work fine, as stated before, just use the existing light that's in place

    I think I have worked it out, surprisingly it's only 9 watts that heater, so on heat cycle it will be on for a while, I have a 40watt light in my Tuckerbox freezer for heating
