Any copper cable will do as thats the whole reason behind 3/4 wire RTD's is that the cable resistance doesnt really affect the RTD output but in saying that I wouldnt go much over a few meters if we are going longer that that we use a temp transmitter which changes the ressitance to a 4-20mA...

Another thing to seriously consider is the current switching abilitys of both......I feel way more comfortable switching high current drawing elements with a SSR as opposed to a STC-1000 I'd hate to have STC relay fuse shut and melt down on me.......I deal with a lot of temp control instruments...

Once I got temp control I dove right into lagers with great results trying everything from di-rests to crashing etc etc etc..........I can hardly drink anything commercial now due to the horrid wheat/rice tastes that come through straight away. They cant be that bad as all my "commercial"...

Stuff it I pulled a pint(In keg for 5 days at 12psi)........Its GOOD bit bitter but I know there is hops there as in sneezing the same as I do while making the brew hahahahahaha......If it gets better with age it will be cracker.....Bitter lager type.

Mines carbing now in keg..........a few more days and I might sneak a pint to see how it is.......Looking at BIAB now to try and get a better system to try and refine my brews a bit more.

Well I ended up doing a 30min boil with some unhopped DME Using Dr Rudi 20g@30 and another 20g@15 BUT and I think I may stuffed up here.......I didnt pour it through a filter I just dumped it straight into the FV wwith a tin of goop and another 1kg dex.... Day three of ferment and it smells...

Hey thanks for the reply..... About 200g DME Dr Rudi hops( NZ hop).......So prob not a high enough SG as you state......Next time im gonna boil all my fermentables including the nasty tin goop. And try to load up on more hops might try 30@60mins,30@30mins and another [email protected] dry hop...
