Got some 1056 from grain and grape which expired Oct 2014. They gave me 2 packs and I have done a starter. Is there any problems with pitching out of date yeast?

Is yeast impervious to filtration? Sorry if it's a silly question but I want to siphon my wort from 1 fermenter to another before I bottle and was going to put 1 of those big brew in a bag muslin bags in the secondary to catch any hops etc. will this affect the yeast at all?

Hi guys, I'm using a 50l keg as my mash tun and drilled a 1/2 inch hole in it to accommodate a dial thermometer but of course I have put the hole in the wrong place. Can you patch stainless steel with anything or should I just jam a bung in it? If it wasn't so embarrassing i'd put a photo up...

Think it is going to be more brown then red, couldn't get my hands on some cara red grain. Stressing out about the hops more than the grain bill thou.

Will a 30cm dome false bottom work in a 50cm mash tun? (Diameter)

I have a 90 lt stainless steel HLT and a converted esky mash tun and I want to install thermometers in both. How far up or down the vessels do you put them? BTW hi everyone, 1st post and all.
