Beer line cleaning with Trisodium Phosphate

I think TSP needs to be more widely pushed as a good all round alternative to PBW. Never mind the algal blooms

Beer line cleaning with Trisodium Phosphate

I use a version of TSP powder that I have found from a local commercial cleaning product supplier. I use it for all of my cleaning purposed and can say that it is far superior to PBW in value and as good as a cleaner. You can even get a chlorinated form that works as a sanitizer also (rinse...

    Fridge Freezer hacking it up

I just did this for my keg fridge. Same deal with freezer on the bottom. I cut a small square from the top and picked out the insulation. You have to be careful because there may be cooling lines in there (there was in mine). I just put a 12v computer fan in there, wired it to an old phone...

    Show us your brewrig

Started brewing around August last year. Did one kit and then about 10 extracts. This is my new 3v system with pump and whirlpool set up. Apologies for the garage related mess, I was a bit excited.

    No bubbling

Yeah probably had consumed too much of the first batch whilst brewing. Combined with the "I don't need to print out the brewday sheet this time". Forums incite stress but then also can sometimes relieve it. I will throw in the LDME and close the cupboard for a few weeks. Dam kittens love them...

    No bubbling

Also I just found the extra 400g of LDME sitting on the bench that was supposed to go in with it. Too late for that? (nearly 18 hours after pitching).

    No bubbling

Haha just joking. I did do something stupid last night however. Was doing an extract APA style brew last night with a 12L boil. The pot had the steeped juice of 300g of medium crystal and 300g of carapils with 1kg of ldme. Boiled that for 60min with 20g Chinook 60min, 20g cascade 30min, 20g...
