Do you have any sources? I've always understood the HDPE containers most of us use in no-chilling to be stable enough to not leach at the temperatures we use.

Yeah this is what I normally do, I tilt the cap end up do its the highest point and try to coax out all the oxygen. Still usually get a bubble though. This brew is so low that the cube is squashed in on all sides and still nowhere near the cap.

I just put it in the fridge so I could get to pitching temp without worrying about it later. It cooled pretty quickly.

I filled the kettle with an 8L pot 4 times, and have also made a 32L mark inside the kettle. What's the dead space do?
