    a good beer in sydney?

Vivid Sydney is still on so the city should be quite busy (more so than usual). I will be around the OPT to catch some of the light show (and getting a pulled pork roll from Eat Art Truck). Ken

    New brewer in Sydney

Should be okay. It will just take the place of the commercial beers for a bit. :) Ken

    New brewer in Sydney

Thanks fletcher. I bottled mine with the carb drops about 4 weeks ago and they have been living in a box in the cupboard. I should probably put them in the fridge then. :) I opened one last week and it certainly seemed carbonated. Ken

When you bottle your beer (specifically for the kits - but a question in general I guess) do you just leave them in a cool/dark area of the house or can you refridgerate them straight away? Ken

    Shedding Some Pounds

Yeah, born in Bishopbriggs just outside Glasgow - think it is classed as East Dunbartonshire these days. I've been asking a similar question to you too. I managed to lose about 18kg about 18 months ago mainly by eating better and avoiding beer during the week along with doing 30min exercise 4...

Yeah, different manner. :) Definitely took care to clean and sterlise all of the equipment. Just bottled 15 bottles and then didn't get around to bottling the other 15. in the middle of getting the place ready to go on the market so not the best time to brew. :) :) Yeah, I will be cracking a...

    a good beer in sydney?

I always enjoy the Australian Heritage Hotel (in the Rocks), they don't brew themselves but have a good number of Aussie beers on tap complimented by a very large range in bottles. Helps that the food there is good too. Second both the Lord Nelson and Harts. When in June are you here? Ken

    New brewer in Sydney

So, this Sunday it will be 4 weeks in the bottle for my first attempt. Was thinking of putting a couple in the fridge and trying them. Only ended up doing half the batch (other things, including my laziness, got in the way). Will see how this goes before deciding on doing any more soon. Seems...

A Catalan guy in Chatswood brewing

Love their beer. Did a brewery tour about 3 years ago. Tried both the Mad Abbot's (dubbel and tripel). Both nice beers but I prefer the Grimbergen Dubbel and Tripel if drinking that style. Haven't tried the Kolsch. Must do. Ken

Una cervesa, si us plau! Worked in St Leonard's for 2 years, went to Bazaar for every farewell or team lunch. :) If you fancy coming in to the city for a beer one Friday night I'd be keen. Ken

    NSW annual pub crawl

Damn it! I have no plans for any Saturday in May other than the 18th. Would really liked to have come along to this. Love the Aussie and the Lord Nelson. Haven't been to the Lowenbrau in years! Will there be a part 2? Ken

    First Alteration to a Kit.

So did the zest actually go in to the fermenter? Or is the 'flavour' in the water that you boiled it in and then added? Ken

    Wheat beer fermentation

Keen to see how it turns out for you mate. The mangrove jack Bavarian wheat I did with the copper tun kit had the airlock bubbling almost straight away. Ken
