    What are you listening to

Given the death of Bones Millman this week, I've been giving this a nudge. His 'beautiful voice' (as described by the band in their tribute to him) really stand out on this track, especially @ 3'25.

    What are you listening to

What a wonderful memory, Feldon. Thanks for sharing it. Music has a powerful connection to so many things in life. I reckon you could just about smell what it was like in your flat playing that.

    Aldi specials

i bought one the last time they were on sale and am very happy with it. My wife actually pointed the sale out to me as a reminder to get more rolls of plastic. Have put quite a few cuts of meat into the Grainfather to sous vide them without any hassle at all.

Wanted: WY1272 Culture in Brisbane this weekend

It's amazing that this came up - I was looking for the same thing! I'm now shifting brews until I can get my hands on it.

where do you get your beers ? share your pusher

Black Sheep at Newmarket is good, and agree about the range at the Everton Hills store. That sad it's close to home, so a good option. The drive thru at the Stafford Tavern has an incredible range. Was very surprised walking in there.

    B*stards

Thanks. Manticle. Makes the guts turn. Apparently the late Jim Stynes used to start the day with a cup of 'his own brew'. He didn't ever give the impression he enjoyed it though.

    B*stards

Thanks, Baron Thy didn't touch my own brew, just pinched bottles I'd been keeping. Still, I'd like to think the little shits magically tasted my ass when they drank my beer.

    Continuing happiness

My wife did something similar for our little girl. Only a two burner though. You shot her trumped!

    B*stards

Whilst my wife doesn't get the full extent of the loss of the beer :) , she is pissed about the fact that some deadshit had been so far onto our property. Makes me wish I had a very large dog.

    B*stards

I had to share this with people that would understand. I've been doing some renovations at my place, which has meant that the area under my house (where my brew rig and beer fridge(s) are) has been open. A couple of weeks ago I went out for an early morning run to discover my car door open...

You've got a Moo Pale recipe? Did a tour there last year and loved it. Any chance of sharing the recipe?

Dedicated Grainfather Guide, Problems and Solutions Thread

I thought that, but to be honest, I'm not sure. I've used the timer on other appliances without issue, so I would say not. That said, the power point that I'm using is an old one, so that may be the better guess.

Dedicated Grainfather Guide, Problems and Solutions Thread

I thought I’d share an interesting experience I had this morning, when the unit stopped working. In the interests of getting started on the brew day early, I set the GF up with a timer on the power point, so that once I had the kids up and fed this morning my mash water would already be at...

    Where to go? In Canberra.....

Give Bent Spoke a nudge. Good setup, great beer. Took my brother-in-law from the UK there, and he was suitably impressed.

Bunnings blue BMW fermenters are they any good?

I use something very similar (mine is square). Have no issues apart from the visibility through the walls due to the colour.

    The Grainfather

Chop Only picked mine up last Saturday, and used the formulas supplied. Boiled for 90 minutes so was a bit low into the cube volume wise, but knocked the efficiency out if the park. Can't wait to brew again. Haven't really checked adjustment to previous recipes, but suspect it's going to be an...

They so do a pretty freakin good burger. Was there last week for work and went over for dinner. I think about those burgers between (rare) visits.
