Passiona/Pasito taste & aroma, but very NOT good :(

If you have had success in previous kits/batches but the recent ones have turned, it could be a different yeast in the pack. unless the yeast (even dried) is looked after with refrigeration, they can go off. That or simply the yeast is a different mix/batch from wherever.

First Pilsner and I added too many bittering hops

Yeah i wouldn't worry about it, beer will happen regardless, chalk it up as an experience and make notes or remember what this brew tastes like - adjust recipe accordingly for the next one!

    Nizmoose makes the AG leap

Great Work Niz, glad to see it turned out good and probably will get better with age. It is really nice to see a thread like this all the way to the end!

    off smell and taste !

I assume that you are AG or Extract brewing (based on your use of a wort chiller) but any organic nasties that may be in the garden hose would likely be killed off during the boil. Also assuming that your sanitation post-boil is good enough i don't think that it is the garden hose. I've done...

    Nizmoose makes the AG leap

BIABrewer here, I do 23L batches but find that when you raise the temp, I would flame out 1 or 2 degrees lower than your target temp as the heat tends to keep rising for a bit (although I use a small digital thermometer with a short probe at the top surface). I would also recommending a lower...

    Another BIAB thread

Good work! Don't forget to return to advise the results! I don't worry too much with mine if its a few points difference, you may find that there ends up being more non-fermentables in the wort == translates to 'sweeter' and/or more body. I never used to think that the temps would matter too...

Brew Target Software - Anyone Used It?

I would definitely recommend beersmith, well worth the small cost in the long run, once you set up your equipment (follow the video tutorials) it will be very accurate. I am yet to go wrong with it's beer steps and tools that come along with it (so I can only blame myself for a bad recipe or not...
