I tried a Grolsch type clone a year ago with a friend.
Beermakers Dutch Lager
500g light malt extract
500g dextrose
15g Hallertau
Saflager ..34/70
Turned out wonderful.
Whats a good hop variety to use in this style of beer. Im either going to try a Hallertau or Pride of Ringwood, but what are some suggestions. Ive heard cascade been thrown around. what type of flavours would that add to the brew? Any others that i might consider? Cheers.
I've never broken one before, But my friend attepted to use one as a tool to get the rubber grommet into the hole of the lid for the airlock. I think you can guess what the result was. Those hydrometers are very fragile.
Well i'm Interested in doing a German Lager using Saaz or Hallertau Hops. I don't really do secondary, I do Primary fermentation thenI bottle it straight from there.
