Hey Gregor + Pete, We had a great time with you blokes (that Australian for "guys"...). Good food, good beer and lots of brew talk. We had a great time in Sydney (and Perth - thanks homekegger1!), and are sad to be heading home on Friday. I'll post the recipe for the Black IPA when I get back...

We had a couple of pints of the brown on Monday, and we really liked it! A little lighter color (colour?) than some we have back home, but great flavor (flavour?). We also tried some Cascade Premium light here at the show, and I was impressed with the amount of flavor in a low alcohol beer...

Not much chance I'm afraid. We go to a dinner/evening event right after the show. Tomorrow + Wednesday, repeat, repeat! Cheers!

Living in Ben Lomond California for 24 years, but born and raised in Northern Maine...now that's cold! Been brewing since 1982, with 4 pro batches under my belt. Makes me realize that I don't want to be a pro brewer! They work too hard... Cheers, Dave

I have pitched onto an US05 cake with excellent results, and have brew buddies that have done the same. Never tried more than 1 though...it's just too cheap to buy a pack or 2! Dave

So, I guess that life is like a box of chocolates! (Forest Gump)! And yes, we will both bring 2.25l Local micros (N.CA) are pretty reasonable. Boutique single beers (750ml) like Oaked A.*******, Firestone XII, and others can cost $15 to $20 a bottle or more, and imports can get pretty pricey...

Well, we just want to bring some in to share with local brewers and homebrewers, so if it costs a little, oh well! I've heard that local beers are pretty expensive. Here we pay about $2.00 US per bottle, but local stores carry sixers of micro for $6.00 and up. Pints at a local brewpub cost...
