    30l Urns For $135 ?

I planned on doing BIAB AG brews in it instead of on the stove, (currently restricted by 19L pot) and i thought i might make up a strainer to sit in the top so i can hoist the grain bag, chuck it on the strainer then sparge.

    30l Urns For $135 ?

Hey all has anyone seen these, or is anyone using one? i'm concerned about the preset electronic thermostat control but thought that for the money i could replace the electronic unit with a variable type to get a greater control over the urns temp? Thoughts, comments, experiences greatly...

    Electric Urn And Power Outages

Many variables to consider here mate, I'm not sure how to handle the blackout situation but if you're experiencing breaker trip due to overload that can be solved. Forgive me if you're already aware of all this but in order to easily overcome overload issues go out to your switchboard and see...

    Multi Keg Set Ups

I forgot to mention, if you have more pressure in one keg than the other (considerably more) the beer from the highly carbonated keg may run up through line into the least carbonated keg. You can simply avoid this by bleeding the more carbonated keg

    Multi Keg Set Ups

I just use a T-Piece mate its not "perfect" as different drinks do like different pressures but I usually run a cider and a beer, if you just ran two beers i think it would be fine (at a next to nothing price) Another advantage I've found is that I can evenly force carbonate two kegs at once...

    Fully Automated Brewing System Design

This post has just blown me away, previously being a mechanical engineer and having started electrical engineering this week i feel jaded with myself for not having thought of it, but i guess as yet i'm still getting to know the basics of brewing and one must crawl blah blah blah. I am very...

    How To Save Yeast?

Hey all, so im about to rack my first AG BIAB lager to secondary and just thought about keeping the yeast as a starter for next weeks brew. What's the best way to do this? From what i've so far read i just pour the sludge from my fermenter into a PET bottle and leave in the fridge (it almost...

    Help Needed With Flavour

Sorry mate now i feel like i'm harrassing you but, i'll go your way and lager first in a keg. Does that mean that ill just have to let the gasses out via the kegs releif valve every so often? If so, how often?

    Help Needed With Flavour

So i've decided to rack unfiltered to a keg, store at ???? degrees and then filter, carbonate, drink great beer. Thanks for that link mate it makes a little more sense now, any suggestions on actual lager temp? 1-2C?

    Help Needed With Flavour

Thanks again mate, do you filter before lagering? I thought that such a fine filter would pretty much halt any characteristics from changing?

    Help Needed With Flavour

Sorry mate, are you saying 1.7L is too much sparge? no offence taken i was really experimenting and playing it all by ear.

    Help Needed With Flavour

Thanks mate, so if i were to chill, filter, keg, leave for a while then carbonate and drink said keg that would be lagering right? If so, how long do you lager for?
