    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Currently drinking a Victory Storm King Stout. Wow, really good.. couldn't believe the percentage when I read 9.1%.. Need to wait for it to warm up a little! I think this may be my favourite stout. Perfect balance of hops and roasty coffee and chocolate.

    Bear Republic......hop Rod Rye

Great beer. I asked the guys at the international beer shop if i was missing any good ones and they pointed it out. All i can say is hell yeah im glad they did. Super hoppy but a little something extra with the mouthfeel. Though after a few other big beers I wasn't in a state to give a thorough...

What Are Your Costs (or Savings) In Home Brewing?

Well it goes like this for me... I made my first drinkable beer which turned out to become a lager instead of a belgian blonde due to my LHBS selling me the wrong yeast. I get excited.. find out there are decent online HBS's, try liquid yeasts. Get temperature control.. get kegs.. get taps and...

Lager Advice - Doing It Properly, Recipe Suggestions

Tried this again today. In your guys experience how long do lagers take to clear without the use of finings or anything, just cold crashed? Still slightly cloudy which is stopping me from drinking it too early (probably a good thing) but this lager is really good! Probably the crispest lager...

Drinking Sierra Nevada Torpedo And Disappointed.

Surely though SN wouldn't want people who have spent that much on beer (which most people who shop at dans don't spend 80 odd bucks for a carton ) to think why the hell did I pay this much the beer isn't even good. Then people won't bother buying it anywhere else because its pretty expensive...

Australia Day 2012. What's In Your Glass?

Got a few I'm pretty keen for. An epicurean coffee fig stout, 8 wired saison sauvin, sierra Nevada double IPA and weizenbock. Waiting for my first lager to clear so unfortunately wont be drinking homebrew.

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Agreed, the porter is actually pretty nice! Got a bit of a shock after drinking other JS beers off tap and thinking 'why the hell did i pay $10 for this!?' then having a bottle of porter and thinking wow this is nice! Had an amber ale recently and thought it was pretty bad to be honest..

I caved and had another beer. This time a Haandbryggeriet Costa Rica. Really nice porter if you like coffee, which I do.

    Ball Valve - Thread Confusion

Hi guys Sorry if this is a nooby question but thought i better ask before wasting my money. I have a Langco Florite urn I picked up off gumtree which I want to replace the tap with a ball valve (sight glass made it leak and it just seems easier than cleaning it all) I have measured the tap...
