Stux that's awesome. Is there anybody in OZ that sells cold plates?

So glad Stone is now directly imported...

I made a batch of a clone very similar to Yob's recipe. $35 is a joke. I used US05 as it's what I had around. Bloody awesome beer.

Dog fish head 90 min IPA

I'm fermenting a batch of this now, based on the BYO recipe. Unfortunately I miscalculated the efficiency and got an OG of 1.082 instead of 1.088 and didn't have any DME around. Hoping the bitterness turns out balanced. 8 days of fermenting and down 1.035, still a while to go.

    SE Melb pubs?

Cool was perhaps an overstatement. But given the only pubs near my house are the Leighoak and Forresters Arms (both hideous pokie dives) the Nott is a haven in comparison. Yeah a tree fell on the Micawber, I think it's all repaired though.

    SE Melb pubs?

Micawber is great, Nott is cool too. I now live near Oakleigh, and i can tell you this a total wasteland for decent pubs. Unless I'm missing something...

    RecipeDB - 10 Min IPA

I've tried a couple of these and found the bitterness lacking. I think it comes down to how your software calculates the bitterness.

    IPA Recipe, no chill help

I would recommend doing a bittering addition, cube hopping and a hop tea with a coffee plunger into the FV (or even keg). I could never get the late hop flavour I was after without doing the hop tea thing.

Keg King 200 litre pots - anyone have one?

These type of pots sometimes taper down a little bit, so cylinder volume calculations are not always correct.

    Making Passata/Tomato sauce

I made beer, tomato beer! Seems I didn't boil for long enough. I bottled the pulp fresh without boiling and then after bottling I boiled for 2 hours. Lucky it was only a small test batch though and have lost 12 bottles, still annoying though. Now I have to hunt down a few more boxes and try...

    German Pretzels (Bretzels)

Chinese grocers? I have seen 'Lye Water' there. Not sure if it's the same thing. It's used to get that super crackly skin on roast pork belly.

    WTB Fermenting Fridge Melb

Cheers, I'll keep it in mind. I was kinda looking for one without a freezer (or all freezer if that makes sense). If i don't find something soon though I might take it. 311 Litres you mean?

    WTB Fermenting Fridge Melb

My chest freezer has carked it. So I'm looking for a bar fridge or upright freezer I can use to ferment in. Preferably one that can fit 2 x 30l fermenters. Any leads?
