I have these lighters from BBQ galore that are compressed cardboard with no chemicals added for flammability, work really well and have zero bad flavours.
Didn't know they existed. Nice looking thing but still very expensive when you could get the high torque mixing drill from bunnings for less than half of that.
I love the idea but I think it will fail because one doesn't want to lift kegs out of the fridge to measure them. In the fridge no temp change on that amount of stainless either.
What temperature did you mash in at? I find when adding 20% of above in wheat that mashing in as low as 40c does seem to eliminate this fountain problem for me.

You will find that one the PID is added to the GF that the brew day will be slower. That is the likely reason why the BM was slower.
