How long do you bottle condition?

I'm often trying my ales after 2 weeks in the bottle but most of it is left for longer than that. I did a double IPA hop bomb though and if I hadn't tasted it early I would have been dissapointed. At 3 weeks it was huge and full of aroma and flavour. opening the last of it now 3 months out and...

    WLP-051 Cali V. A Very Smelly Yeast.

I just poured one of my wheat/rye beers fermented with cali V and I couldn't be happier with it. I reckon the yeast has just added a nice mild fruitiness that goes well with the spice from the rye. No bad smells in the glass. Wouldn't write this yeast off.

Man arrested over alleged distillery operation at Perth house

Excuse my naivety for thinking the law would be fair and just, but... How is it that we can brew beer till our hearts are content, but he can't distill spirits?

    WLP-051 Cali V. A Very Smelly Yeast.

I brewed an american wheat/rye beer, half with Cal V and just left it in the fermenter for 2.5 weeks at 19C without worrying too much about it. No bad smells or tastes from the hydro reading, and I'm just chilling the first ones down now as they will have carbed up. maybe this one just needs...

    Yeast starters

I've never bothered taking a gravity reading of a starter because they finish up so quickly. Just wait 1-2 days, look for bubbles, smells like bread, step up. Been using the brewers friend calculator too and never had a problem until recently. I was brewing a pale ale and a black IPA (very...

Help with replacing my beer lines?

I have some other push fittings that are pretty easily undone. This doesn't seem to respond to the push-pull thing. what's an olive and collet? I think the font is Andale, it fits andale snaplok taps.

Help with replacing my beer lines?

Hi guys, so I'm almost finished with my keezer build but want to replace the grotty cut off bits of 4mm ID beer line currently attached to the font with my nice new 5mm ID line and correctly balance it. I have read through all the threads on this topic I could find but cannot for the life of me...

Stone Brewing Launch Forrester's Hall Melbourne

Do we think the tasting paddles will be available on the bar for $25 each? I'd be keen to avoid the $2.5 booking fee if I'm buying several.

+1 for the ceramic heat lamp. Although be careful not to have it too close to the plastic side of the fridge. I melted it just a tad...

Which would be good because icing up coolant lines isn't an issue. But I wonder if it actually gets cold enough, especially if you want a Lager.
