    My 210L Keezer Build

I have a 7 tap keezer, upgraded from a 5 tap keg fridge. Still yet to do an AG batch... Plenty you can do with kits and bits.

Mini keg party dispensing via carba-capped PET bottle.

Definitely like the idea! I've been thinking of ways to fill from my 22kg bottle into a smaller vessel for party / after work beverage consumption. This might be the trick! But use the mini reg to control the release. I hear that trying to refill cylinders can be difficult... Might have to utube it.

    Adding dextrose after pitching yeast

Don't get me wrong but I think that there is a difference between 4.5% and 5% just like the difference between 4% and 4.5% is either mid or full strength.. I agree that after a couple of pints there may not be much difference. I was aiming for a full strength beer but not the usual 5.5% to 6.5%...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

I would have to say looking at it, is one of them seals out of your standard fermenter lid.

    Choc stout Coopers kit

I'd use the DDME, choc and dex, leave the molasses and the crystal 60 out. Either cold steep the grains in water over night in the fridge or hot steep as spryie suggests. Either way the grains need to be cracked if not already done. Don't know about the choc or vinilla extracts as I have never...

I think that alot of the possibly effected buyers (including myself) have not yet rice tested theirs and don't know if they are in the boat yet. I'll do mine on the weekend and see if there is another on the list.

    Noob Kegging Questions

I've not seen any difference between filling / purging the keg with CO2 or not I generally just clean with met/perk blend ( 1 tea spoon to 1.5 boiling water) empty and spray with San mixed as it should. I run silicone hose that goes to the outside of ferm tap to inner of transfer silicone hose...

    Adding dextrose after pitching yeast

I thought about it and I don't see anything different then adding priming sugar to bottles everyone either put sugar drops in by hand or scoops Dex/glucose in dry in the bottle and everything is fine. Could just be over thinking it??

    Adding dextrose after pitching yeast

I didn't think there would be a great issue with just dumping it in as when you mix kits up its generally just put in with a couple of liters of boiling water out the kettle to dissolve. I went with the same sort of method just enough water to dissolve then cooled with a little cold water out...

    Adding dextrose after pitching yeast

Hi all Knobel folks I recently put down a few coopers online recipes and just scaled up for my lager 60L fermenters. Some recipes called for be2 and such. I thought that I dialed up correctly and forgot that the coopers site "generally" allows for an extra 0.5% alcohol by bottling. Anyways I...

2017 Hop Plantations, Show Us Your Hop Garden!

I picked most of my first year (in my dirt lol) POR strange that one side flowered and the other didn't. As in I put a few zomes in either side of the veg patch and strung a trellis. Got 75g wet but I think I may have left them a little long due to the wet week we have had. My cones don't seem...

    Heating fermentation fridge in Perth

I ended up going with a reptile heating cord. Can't remember the wattage but I think it's only about 20 and 5m long you can run it all along the inside of the fridge with not issues... well any that I have seen. Works a treat especially when doing 2 brews as it can evenly distribute the heat...

Wow I've had some red ale in a keg since before Xmas it's now in the keg fridge on tap. Might have to pour it and see what's it's like. It's only had 4 beers out of it because I took it to work and had the same beer in big kegs that I drank first. What was the beer style? Looks rather dark...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

I wonder what the 50L model (assuming that they will make one) will be cost wise. Atm with the fermenter started kit is $130 and the pressure kit being $40 .The kegmenter seems to be alot better value at $100 more and stainless. Suppose the only downside is that you can't see the active...
