ahhh Timmermans.... that stuff blows... BUT it did start me on the road to discovering lambics, so I shouldn't bash it too bad. Wish our booze selection was better in the Gold Coast.. sigh

actually, I just realised Nick may have been being sarcastic. If so apologies Nick. I agree with Donburke (?!) with the not needing to freeze pulp etc. A few weeks should be plenty to cut through. It will also be easier and wayyyyy less annoying to then get the beer OFF the cherry mess.

Yeah... I agree the Oetinger (have no idea how to spell it) is not a bad mega swill to be honest! Freaking cheap and at least it tastes like SOMETHING! Worst commercial beer I have had was a VB can in a dodgy motel room a few years ago. Must have been off, as it just tasted like melted plastic...

hmmmm sounds good Nick. What ratio are you thinking. I would think about 50:50. God it is good stuff. I am about to do a 5L funky cider as I have never done one before... any tips? Apart from forgetting to chuck in the yeast ;)
