Any interest in a brew club to the north of Melbourne?

I have been wanting to join a club for a while now and this is bike riding territory from me. I'd be keen on coming to the next meet. If it's worth anything I think Merry Mashers is a great name. It is such an adorable little creek that gets so much crap dumped into it.

Keep it in a dark cool space. If sanitation is up to scratch there should be no problems.

Subbing Ringwood ale yeast with US05?

I love this yeast, the stone fruit flavour it gives off is beautiful. My last beer that I used 1187 with I pitched when it was 18 and let it naturally rise to 21 it turned out to be a cracker.

How many litres did you brew - 2013?

I brewed 9 beers and made 246l of beer. 1 cube hasn't been fermented yet but that will change this weekend. I have refined my process this year and feel like I'm making consistently good beer. I have gotten into water chemistry and have started a proper yeast bank. It's been a good year on the...

Style Of The Week 1/8/07 - Mild

Well it took me a little while to get around to fermenting this one, but I thought I'd come back to this thread to share, seeing it got me onto this style in the first place. The mouthfeel of this beer took me a little bit of getting used to, it was thinner than my normal 4.5-5.5% beers. I...

    Can I split my wort

This was my first experiment with brewing. I split a Cascade Mahogany Porter into two fermentors, I used the kit yeast in one fermentor and Windsor yeast in another. The Windsor knocked the kit yeast for a six. The kit yeast version ended up being drunk after all the Windsor was gone because of...

Thanks for the feedback. It may be hard to knock back the special roast because it was ground and bagged today. I may be wrong, but the special roast I have used isn't roast barley (at least not the roast barley I'm thinking of), it's Briess special roast which is a only 98.5 ebc as opposed to...

Style Of The Week 1/8/07 - Mild

Just a quick question about the recipe below that I'm making tomorrow. I'm using Wyeast London ESB Ale 1968 and it is a a low attenuating yeast, I have fairly sweet malts in the grist and I'm a bit stuck on what temp the mash should be so it doesn't come out too sweet? I am thinking of 67 or...
