You might have a problem withyour fermentation temp. I would suspect that the yeast in the kit is not a lager yeast, and therefore likely to be more suited to fermenting at around 18C. How did you add your hops? dreamboat

If you are looking to boil with an urn ther appears to be little use of having a temp controller at all. The water will reach 100C, boil, and that is where it will stay. I use my controller for HLT or fridge depending on what I want to do.... well, at least I did before I got more controllers...
