i got mine yesterday. very excitied to get the results. i knew the hop aroma was lacking and that kept the score down. oh well, there is always next year. as for the certificate, will be showing that off to anyone i can corner :)

i'm about to try out the 4 shelf unit from bunnings. seems to be the right size and by splitting it i've got two - 2 tier benchs. will try it out soon and see how it goes. buti would love one of those flash ones :)

i found with the twist tops is that it needs to 'click' twice. it would look like it was on, but a bit more brute strength and it would like again and be on nice and tight.

i think it is 3 per box edit: forgot to mention there is a place in vic, that makes them brand new for about $180 or so. can't think of them name at the mo' also, kegsystems.com (craig deacon) might have some second hand to buy for about $100 or so.

i think my apa beer with amarillo was my best , closely followed by the porter i tasted last night, made with amber malt, very nice, just in time for xmas :)

my plans are (and subject to change at a moments notice) get some kegs etc. build a bar area kinda thing build/get some better brewing equipment try to brew more often and, try to get some more beer into the nationals and try and go better then this year :)

another place to get big plastic containers is a pool shop. i know chlorine and all that. however a few good boils and sun exposure should fix that. for $10 i got a 40L kettle :)

hi quincy, i found with the vials that tho they say they are pitchable (with the lagers) they take their time getting started. it took around 24+ hours for my san francisco yeast to get going. in my dodgy opinion, next time with your saved trub starter, build it up and then pitch that...

or use amarillo instead of cascade (if you can get it) i think it tastes better then cascade and packs more citrus/pineapple/ etc etc , IMO.
