Wanted - Simple Kit-based Lager For A Xxxx Fan

hey Jakub, Firstly temp control FOR SURE. However we are in the cooler months so MAYBE you could get away without it. I LOVE lager yeast, but my tip is in this instance, dont use it. Really it should be brewed for a longer period, temp control is ESSENTIAL, lagering period is important, takes...

Pseudo Bulk Priming - Using A Syringe

Well, its been more than a few weeks, but this method works a treat. The bottles carbed up brilliantly. Better than ever, probably a bit too over carbed, implying I simply used too much dextrose (200g) for a 23L brew. Anyway, I have used it several times now, just bottled another brew...

    Brewing Temps

a few additions & extra thoughts.... 1) I spelt Gelatine wrong....it should be Gelatine :) (you will find a myriad of different ways.....pm me if confused) 2) DONT stir your beer!!! It will get oxidised (i think that is the right word....either way, stirring beer at this stage = bad) 3) I...

Hi Turbo, Relax, it will be fine. No need to take readings everyday as you are wasting good beer. (you can if u really want to and wont sleep at night if you dont take a reading...but save that precious gold liquid). I reckon this is going to be one of the best beers u have brewed. Beers brew...

The Times - They Are A Changin'

On a much smaller scale, all my relos (that drink beer) insist on drinking my beer only when at my place. I thought they were being polite, but when I get out the swill (which i grit my teeth when buying, just to keep the relos happy, and to keep the bottles for some real beer later)....they get...

My Beer Tastes And Smells Like A Fart!

ummmm, guys...i dont think raising the temp for a lager yeast is a good idea. That is the last thing I would ever do with a lager yeast...UNLESS i wanted for off flavours and ****** tastes. The only time you might raise temps is just before cold conditioning for day or two is for a diacetyl...

    Boring Canadian Blonde

pappas, Canadian blonde is an excellent kit to experiment with. Why? Cause it is a pretty stock standard, light golden, little hop profile type beer that tastes nice when brewed right. So in other words it a great clean canvas ready for your pro hart type creation :) Try a different yeast...
