    Boc Regulator

Several years ago they changed the CO2 cylinder to the AS 'type 30' that we have now on the cylinders. Older regulators may still have the 'lpg gas' style fitting that was common amoung most industrial gases at the time (from memory nitrogen, argon and co2 all had the same cylinder fitting)...

    Boc Regulator

Can't go wrong with BOC, we have heaps of BOC regs at the mine. They have a 5 yr warranty too.

    Snaplock Adaptor Questions

short answer - yes. Depending on your definition of a while, the beer sitting in the beer line might go a little off. What taps do you have, floryte or brumby? floryte are forward sealing so they shouldn't stick to much (mine don't anyway).

    Hisense 205 L Chest Freezer

I'm thinking of getting one of them once I free up some space, can you take a photo with 2 kegs in it? (that way I don't have to take kegs into the shop).

    Fridgemate Temp Probe Voltage?

The STC1000 has a 12V transformer in them to run the electronics. I'd imagine the fridgemate is similar

Lager - How Hard Is It?

W34/70 (can be found as BrewCellar European lager yeast) is nice and clean, I use it all the time - the more I pitch, the better the result. I normally pitch in the low 20's and cool down to 13 overnight. With the temp change, the pilsner already going will go up a degree or 2 over a few...

    Perlick Flow Control Taps

the taps in the top pic (DA style tap) and the Andale Floryte are forward sealing (bottom pic isn't), The advantage with the Perlick even when you add a shank is that they are almost half the cost of the Andale & Lancer taps. The Florytes are Aussie made so cost isn't helped by Australia's...

    Need Gas Regulator Help!

You can get away not changing the pressure gauge. You will need to change the inlet stem to a Type 30 as they changed the style a few years ago (bit that attaches to bottle) can be brought at a BOC gas & gear for ~$40, see here http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/inde...st&p=733836

    Free Shipping On Coopers Products

I noticed the same with the price, unfortunatly its not the case in Adelaide where the TC range is ~$19 and malt cans ~$14 yet they have the lowest freight cost being closest to the Coopers Brewery. The other joke with Adelaide is that there is a chain of 5 brew stores and none carry the...

Lager Advice - Doing It Properly, Recipe Suggestions

I use W34/70 (or equilavent like Brewcellar european lager yeast) at ~13 all the time and it has always come out clean for me. I normally pitch at ~20 (what ever the wort is at), chill down to 13, leave for ~10 days then ramp it up to 15 for a week and then chill down to 0 for a couple weeks.

    Tv Display Help For Bar

If one of your screens have a DVI port you will not need a hdmi converter. According to AMD (and people confirming DVI-HDMI config on forums when googled), dual screen at different resolution with the 5450 should not be a problem. According to AMD "ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology17,1...

    Ebay, Gumtree and FB Marketplace

They will also stamped BOC or CIG, only a dodgy place would refill them. They might be cheap for 20kg of CO2 but they come with the same risks as buying kegs someone picked up from the back of a pub.

Do I Realy Need A Wort Chiller

I did a 15L high gravity BAIB batch on the weekend and chilled it this way. I filled a fermenter full of water and stuck it in my fridge to 0C, plus stuck all my freezer bricks in the freezer. At flamout, I poured half the icy cold water from fementer into a 55L esky and put my pot full of...

Anyone Use Thereto Control Their Freezer?

I don't think compliance to Australian standards is high on the list of must haves going of some of the requests for help wiring up their STC1000's we so often see. No need to worry about getting zapped on the full length metal plug pin (which most older appliances have) when their dodgy wiring...

    Co2 Thread Cutting

BOC have them, part number 105621, your nearest store may have to order them in, I've brought 2 of them to convert some regulators over (they changed the fitting type a few years back). They are Type 30 to male 1/4" NPT
