    Saison?

I've never had a commercial one but have brewed about 6 different ones now, both Belgian & French, loved all of them. It's really addictive once you get a taste for it

    Good mash paddles/spoons?

My old spoon snapped too, I guess it couldn't handle the massive power of my guns when I was stirring... I hit up the big green shed for a plank of Tasmanian Oak (untreated) and put a few holes in it with a hole saw, roughly cut away a bit of wood to make a handle and got my 3 year old to sand...

    Melbourne-Sterile sample tubes (yeast storage)

I'd be in for 10 each of the lca03-50 and the lca04-15pet but my fuzzy brain can't do marks this early in the morning so if you can post the approximate prices that would be ace ;)

    Managing fermentation schedules

I've found the google calendar app on my smart phone useful for keeping track. Can edit on the phone or online via pc and set reminders so you get alarms and emails when you need to do stuff.

Can You Brew Ferment In 20l Jerry Cans

A bit of a stretch to ressurect an old thread just to pat someone on the back but this little nugget of advice seems like such a no brainer, can't believe I have never thought of it. Now rueing every "first beer in this cube" I've ever made (including my first ever AG that tasted so much like...

    Red earth

Is that seriously what they look like?? Almost worth growing them just for the ornamental value.

New here with a few questions

Hey okie1, there's some good advice from everyone above but I think the best bit of advice I ever got was to write everything down. If you keep good records of what you did with every brew you can refer back to them when something goes wrong and use them to figure out why. More importantly...

Bags of "Beer Mix" from the "Beer Machine" - is there

I have just been given 5 bags of "The Beer Mix" (usually used in "The Beer Machine") by someone who had a go with the beer machine and thought it sucked balls so bad they threw the whole thing in the bin. He passed the bags on to me because he thought a real brewer* might be able to do...

    XMAS beer porn

No chrissy presents for me this year, we decided to spend all the money on the kids. Scored $300 from my birthday last week however, will be enough to finish putting together my 3V HERMS so I'm pretty pumped :)

Making a Perry! Some advice please. No Activity

I try not to use my hydrometer too often with a 5L batch as it seems like a waste of cider (given the amount needed to fill the tube vs the amount in a 5L demijohn), I'm not saying dont use it but do try to wait for some signs the yeast is finished. Every time I've made cider it has been super...
