    Adding Honey To Keg

Agree. Except for the bit about thinking about adding the honey. I think it will mellow out on its own after a little time. Scott

    Using Natural Mains Gas

Mark, Mine involved welding a 'T' piece into the existing line and then running a new pipe off that to where you want the gas taken to. A bayonet fitting is then attached to the end of the new pipe. Can't remember the price of the bayonet fitting but might have been around $20 - $30.00...

    Using Natural Mains Gas

Don't know what it will cost you but you will need a plumber and they're not cheap. It shouldn't be a big job. If you know a plumber you might be able to come to some sort of arrangement????

    Using Natural Mains Gas

No it was pressure related. There is a 12mm diameter gas pipe 4 metres away but the pressure would have been too low. We needed to run larger diameter pipe from the meter.

    Using Natural Mains Gas

No worries Mark. Your laughing if the gas meter is that close. I had a NG point installed on my deck, for the BBQ and eventually for brewing, early this year. Unfortunately the pipe had to start at the gas meter and run to the back corner of the house. Got a bit expensive but well worth it in...

    Using Natural Mains Gas

It certainly can be done. If the gas pipe you want to tap into is close to where you want an outlet (called a bayonet fitting) then it shouldn't be overly expensive. There are gas pressure issues that need to be taken into account and sometimes you need to run a new line starting close to the...

    ******* Question?

Damien, If it is over carb'd (and it sounds like it may be) then... When the beer comes out of the tap it hits the glass with such force that it knocks the c02 out of the beer. Scott Edit - Gee I think and type real slooooow. Anyway what homebrewer said.

Danstar Munich And Safale K97 Yeast

Don, I've used both yeasts but only in wheat beers. Personally, out of the dried wheat yeasts available - WB-06, Danstar Munich and K97 (which is not a wheat yeast anyway but used to be pushed as one), I think the Danstar is the pick. Like Geoffi said, I don't think the Danstar would suit a...

    Looking For A Cheap Pot

Got 2 of them myself probably 3 years ago as well. I use them as my HLT. Thin pots but no issues and the handles are fine. As a bonus the glass lid fits my kettle perfectly. Scott

    Snippety Snip

I made sure I didnt have to worry about that. I just told my wife that seeing as she was the one that wanted me neutered then she could drop off the samples. Sorry newguy, this is about your de-sexing. How are the boys today? Scott

    Snippety Snip

The Doctor was a highly regarded urologist and it was done as day surgery under general anaesthetic in a private hospital. I felt more comfortable doing it this way than at one of those vasectomy clinics. And dont worry, I only paid him once. Correct. Not common but can happen. Actually the...

    Snippety Snip

Fortunately no baby newguy. Sperm count test. Had to spend a few intimate minutes by myself with a little plastic jar with a yellow lid a couple of weeks after the butchering. Results a couple of days later found traces of sperm still present. Not unusual I was told. Another intimate moment...

    Bar Setup Help!

As others have mentioned, commercial under bench glass door (or stainless doors) fridges would work really well. A bit pricey but they look good and getting kegs in and out would be very easy. Quite a few size options too. 1, 2, 3 and 4 door sizes and maybe a 6 door option? Would also give...

Natural Gas In The Brewery V Bottle Gas

Correct. I just recently had a NG line installed for for my BBQ with a view to eventually using it for brewing as well. The NG outlet needed to be at the back of the house - unfortunately this was as far away from the meter as you could get. I also needed to run the pipe through the roof...
