316 can be MIG'd, TIG'd, stick, spotted and oxy'd (with a proper flux). Termimesh can be done it just needs a bit more finesse than sheet. For spot welding the standard copper points are fine as long as they are clean and in good shape.

They only use 1/8 or smaller compressors. would take a while to chill enough to run a chiller.

just cut the hole for the threaded bit then line it up and drill a smaller hole for the little bit, AKA locating dowell. It stops the font from spinning when you get a bit heavy handed.

Finally got my burner The hp100lp "Rambo" single ring from gameco. Piezo electric lighter, 126mj rating @80kpa. With my $30 0-4bar reg from ebay i got 27 lres of tap water to the boil in just over 15 mins. The neighbours heard it alright. Wasn't very popular when the paint fumes came out!

Ray's burners are good but if you look at the reg it is controllable up to 150 mbar which is just less than a standard bbq reg. The hose and burner are great but when the reg is wrong it's a bit of a false economy. When i was about to hand over their burners they said they couldn't sell the...

I think he means the LP mongolian wok burner. The gameco one is great. brings 35 ltr of wort to boil from sparge in under 15 mins without running flat out. Also they are rated @ 59 MJ/hr with a 15psi reg. not quite as high as a nasa but people use a 44psi reg on a nasa.

I go that way a bit, I'm looking at picking up a couple of stir bars myself. Can pick up more if need be.
