    Angry Dark Beers

At a guess I'd say the ph of the darker wort is lower which in turn gives a more favourable evironment for the yeast. At least its a possibilty.

Style Of The Week 7/6/06 - German Pilsner

Is it just me or does anyone else have difficulty getting any malt flavour out of powells pilsner malt? I've done a double and single decoction, single step at 66 and 68, used WLP830 and 838 and still no real Euro malt. I'm putting it down to the malt itself.

    Looking For Erlenmeyer Flasks

Depends on the brand you get from Livingstone. I got a 1l and 2l Bomex one and they are nearly indestructable, unless of course you drop them. I got a cheapy 500ml one there as well and one stirbar from my runaway stir plate put a nice little hole in it.

    Warehouse 48 Litre Esky

THink I'll have to look into it. The lid barely fits on my mash tun nowadays, a few too many brews has left it a bit sagged and out of shape. From memory the warehouse one didn't look very good, no drain. although it was a while ago, may not be the same esky. PS my brewing has been put on hold...
