    Hi all. I did an all grain several weeks ago. Day after, grain left in the mash smelt pretty funky. Could i do a second mash/sparge and use this as the base to make a sour? I've looked at a few guinness clone recipes and they take a litre or 2 before boil. Leave it for a couple days to sour...

    They have to be bottle conditioned to have the viable yeast still active. I'm in Adelaide so transport is pretty fast. I've heard that through summer the road trip out of Adelaide can kill the yeast if it gets too hot for too long.

    I drink coopers pales. Love it! But always brewed something different as i didn't want the disappointment of it not being as good as taylor brewed... I've done about 7 in last 6 months! They are that good! And light enough that you can taste any changes you make to the recipe.

    Yep I've done 2 pales with 20g pride ringwood for 45 mins since. And much better (bitterer?)

    Nice! I used a tin of coopers pale ale and half a tin of that same amber ale. It could have used a little more bitterness, but it was a bit more interesting than the last couple pales i did!👍

    English Bitter

    Just started drinking mine. Can coopers English Bitter 650g coopers amber ale (liquid) 1kg dextrose It probably got a little warm fermenting as there was a slight brown in the air lock Coopers recultured yeast. 80g goldings in the keg Bit cloudy but clearing up. Bitter coffe hit really shines...

    Copper Cooling Coil

    I'm thinking of pumping hot wort out of boiler. Into fermenter. Through a coil immersed in an esky full of ice n water. Probably 3/8 , maybe even 1/4 . A slow pump and that should cool to pitching temp once it's in the fermenter... Is this wrong, because it seems the minority of people are doing...

    Hi mate. I used to have an old double door . It didn't work but was perfect to ferment in 1 side and condition bottles in the other... Is this still sitting around? Thanks
