I recommend you give the MSB Summer Wheat beer cans a go. I made one of these using 2 cans a while back and it turned out really good. It also comes with a pretty good german wheat yeast.

I have a 20lt keg that appears to be leaking out near the out disconnect but it only happens when the beer tap line is connected. It doesn't seem to be the connection on the line as it works fine on other ones i have without any leakage. Unfortunately i only realised the leak after it drained...

I don't think there is any in the Hunter Peter. I know The Brewery in Newcastle used to be but they worked out they could earn more money by turning the space into another bar...... But i would be interested to know if there are any up the hunter to.

Do the wheelie bin!! Mines awesome and not THAT big. The thick plastic is a good insulator to.

I just use one of the smaller wheelie bins with ice under around and on top of the keg. I got the bin (unused) for free of someone and it works a treat! Have holes for tap and gass line.

How much did you buy the schooner glasses for in the first place? I bought a few headmaster glasses the other day for about $1.60 each. Pretty cheap if you ask me.

I just leave mine full of the remainin CO2 from when the keg runs out and then clean and sanitise when i need it.

Redbeard, How much did it cost for you to get the 4 from C&C? The shipping seems to vary alot from them.

I believe from that shiiping site it is about AUD$93 for shipping over here. And it says it would take 20 - 30 business days. All up it would be about AUD$220 for 4 of them.

Thats what i was thinking of doing. i can kit more kegs for CCing then i can fermenters. I thought the first might be a bit thick but if the guy on that site transfers to a serving keg and hasn't cut his dip tube wouldn't it still transfer all the crap at the bottom anyway and make the beer in...

Thats not a bad site that. Is it totally neccesary to transfer to another keg for serving? Would it be ok to use a keg for the secondary and just either cut the dip tube or chuck out the first few beers?

Has anyone here been to the Townsville Brewery?? I went there about 2 months ago and thought it was awesome! Its a big pub showing off its big vats, it constantly has its 6 beers on tap and has a few seasonal beers. Well worth a visit if you are ever up that way. Didn't get a chance to eat...

Big d, you can get the same 2.3kg bottles here for $270 and $20 for a refill at the local HBS. You can also get 1.5kg bottles for about $120 i believe on the net.

Thanks for the info. I think i might enquire about it. I'm not a huge fan of their 2 main beers either but i have never been around a brewery and i would like to.
