    Questions re Gravity Numbers

You're spot on. I just put the numbers into the Grainfather calculator and it came up with 18L for the mash and 12L for the sparge. I was out by a full 3L!

    Questions re Gravity Numbers

31L pre boil. 23L in the fermenter (roughly 2-3L left below the outlet tap that I don't bother putting into the fermenter). Thanks Mark. I really appreciate your detailed response. Supplementary questions if I may. Why would you struggle to get over 80% on a Grainfather/Robobrew? What...

    Questions re Gravity Numbers

G'day guys, I brewed an AG NEIPA over the weekend. The calculated numbers showed an estimated OG of 1.066 using the following grain bill (21L recipe): 2.5kg 2 Row 2kg Golden Promise 570g Carapils 340g Aromatic I'm using a Robobrew and my first gravity reading (after mash out) was 1.068. I...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

No worries mate. You answered my question definitively. I didn't think to look at the pump on their site - doh! The weird thing is, I can't find anything written that came with the Robobrew stating that it's safe to use. Anyway, I'm satisfied that it's safe to use. Thanks for your help.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Thanks @awfulknauful. I've now received 2 responses to my question - 1 saying it's perfectly safe and now yours saying it's not. Confusion reigns supreme! Where did you get the information saying the pump can only be run to a maximum temperature of 80°C? Hopefully @KegLand-com-au can...

    Co2 and fire Extingushers again

@STEVENALI thanks for sharing. I'm just about to get into kegging, so your timing is perfect. How long does a 6L cylinder last? I know that's a how long is a piece of string question, but let's assume I end up setting up a 2 keg kegerator and swap out 1 keg per fortnight. Is it more...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Thanks @Grmblz. Appreciate your help mate. Hopefully @KegLand-com-au can advise whether it's designed to work with boiling water, or whether we will be voiding our warranty by using boiling water through the pump. Common sense says it should be designed for use with boiling water (and Kee...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I hate quoting myself, but is anybody able to answer the question I posted above? @KegLand-com-au hasn't responded - I suspect they've been busy with new product development and website improvements. I'm cool with that - I was just hoping for an official answer to whether it's safe to run the...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

@KegLand-com-au Is it safe to use the pump on the Robobrew 3 during a boil? I want to use the pump to create a whirlpool post boil but want to ensure the tube and wort inside the pump are sanitised. By, the way, like others here on this thread, my malt pipe cover screen and secondary screen...
