fwiw, I would leave it as it is, why, imo another 100g of komatsu may just swamp it, I like well balanced beers even if they are big beers! Good luck- Cheers

    Maltzilla

G’day Schikitar; Like most I started off with a cheap knurled mill from fleabay that worked great till it got blunt and stopped feeding. I got a fluted geared mill which is amazeballs, I doubt it will ever need replacing. My concerns with that mill are; plastic housing and when the rollers blunt...

    RO water filter recommendation

G’day Darren, I used to but a lot of people on here have posted that Ph testing RO water is meaningless due to the lack of ions in the water which makes the readings ' spurious ' at best! I’m no chemist just going by what I’m told. What is important is your mash Ph, get a copy of B’ruin water...

    Too much sugar added !!!

You never know just how good it may be! The manufacturers of Altbeir invented Sticke Altbeir by complete mistake (as did I) You may have to let it mature in flavour a bit longer but too strong? Never! I just made a mistake with a brew and I’m busting to try it haha…. (scaled one of the hops wrong)

    RO water filter recommendation

Hi Darren I would have a look at these, the cheap Chinese units dont get to very low ppm, you pay a bit more but it will last years and considering how much work we put into our beer it's a cheap investment imo. The difference is the RO membrane US vs. Chinese...

step mash schedule for med/high body beers

John Palmers (JPs) book How to Brew is a good start on mashing techniques http://howtobrew.com/book/section-3/the-methods-of-mashing/multi-rest-mashing Basically the higher the mash temps go the more un-fermentable sugars are extracted and the more body your beer achieves, with a corresponding...
