Best Beers / Pubs In The Uk

Thanks all! Some great advice that I will take into my stride. Had little understanding of CAMRA and what they did, but I will look into them a bit more. Probably not going to become a member or anything, but it might be advantageous to have a chat to someone about what they do. I was able to...

Best Beers / Pubs In The Uk

Hi All, I have been living in Mid-Wales for about a month now in a little village called Bow Street, near Aberystwyth. As it was a bit un-economical to drag over my brewing equipment, I am now a pub drinker searching for the UK's best pints. I am currently working in a local pub that has two...

    My Beer Is Fermenting

Hi Jamieh, Dont stress about water in your airlock, if you have water in there you dont need more. If its not bubbling there is most likely 1 of the following 2 problems: 1. The beer is not fermenting. If you do not have any froth on top of the wort in the fermenter, and you are positive the...

Just because nobody else has thrown this one in yet... I bottle in Coopers stubbies using my bench capper, and have never had any problems. But then bottling is rare for me. Cheers,

    Sapporo Chocolat Brewery

I work for a company that supplies sapporo, and it turns out that they have sent some samplers over, sweeeet. A few have already been tried around the company, and apparently when the can is poured into a glass there is a strong smell of chocolate. I havent yet spoken to someone who has tried...

    Brewing Weather

Cheers, Thought 10-20 would be a touch chilly, pleasantly surprised thus far. I guess a 10-20 fluctuation would keep temp around 15, then yeast activity should get it up to around 17 with adequate insulation, so shouldnt be too bad.

    Adding Dry Grain To Beer

I have always thought bitburger must do something similar to this, their beer tastes like barley. Funny about that!
