I asked the question once before on a tangent to another thread, but I think it got lost with the main topic.
Would I be right in saying not to worry about using whirlfloc in a wheat beer, since it's supposed to be cloudy anyway?
Thanks,
Wreck.
No problem. What's the saying? Imitation is the greatest form of flattery...
Looks like it was a good night. I'll definitely have to make the next one.
Cheers,
Wreck.
I have just been trying to decide between the WLP400 and WLP410 myself. Ended up ordering the WLP400 so looking forward to trying it out.
Would definitely like to hear how the WLP410 compares.
Greg,
You also mention racking at half SG. There's been a bit of discussion on here about when to rack. I think the general consensus was to let it go all the way in primary, and then rack. Main reason being the risk of stuck ferments.

Had lunch at the Belgian Beer Cafe the other day, and on another table, these guys ordered a round of Crownies. You'd think they'd at least try something else.
Yeah, I've seen those 15L fermenters. Wasn't sure if they are worth it. I'm sure the Mrs would love another couple of fermenters floating around the place... ;)
I've seen a few guys mention they were going to do a small batch to experiment with.
Do you use a normal sized fermenter (eg 30L)? Would having that much headspace be a problem?
I'm thinking along the lines of a 10-15L batch.
Thanks,
Wreck.
