    Can i re-prime flat bottles?

Just make a slurry with boiling water. You will of course have to pour a bit of beer out to accommodate the slurry. Would pay to note the gravity of the beer as well.

    Can i re-prime flat bottles?

If they are in pet bottles you could force carb b4 drinking. Otherwise your running the gauntlet a bit with infection. You may want to pasturise a dextrose syrup and try that. They will also need to be stored at a temp whete the yeast can reactive.

Balancing CO2 Pressure Between Two Kegs

I cant see any reason your 2nd keg could have influenced the first unless it had a heap of residual pressure stored higher than the regulators set point. If this was the case check valves would have stopped the 2nd keg from pressurising the 1sr.

Second Ever Home Brew Batch - Some Questions

Get a fridge straight up. I went the fermenter cupboard route and wish i had gone a frige from the beginning. first hot summer taught me that.

Adding extra dextrose at day 7

Regardless. Adding more dextrose WON'T result in a lower final SG. The gravity will bump up a bit making a new intermediate gravity but then as the added sugers ferment it will settle a tiny bit higher than now.

Second Ever Home Brew Batch - Some Questions

Personaly i just use kit yeast which really does work pretty well if you keep it below 19deg. with the money ssved buy more hops. Good temp control makes a huge difference, to warm and the yeast goes nuts and you end up with a massive krausen ring. Cold crashing is one of the best ways to...

How long is grain good for?

Depends how you store it. Like always heat oxygen moisture and light are the main offenders.

    Brewdog Brisbane

Just had a brewdog elvis juice yesterday. I actually was unsure how i really rated it. The infused grapefruit juice is very different to what iam used to. Definately wasnt bad. sort of like a very strong shandi. The grapefruit hit is strong off the bat then as that flavour subsides the resinous...

It may do. Iam not teally familiar with aquarium hearers and wouldnt know what an aquariums optimal setpoint would be.

Any potential issues with this heating setup?

You could use one for both. Just place the thermister in the water in your current setup.

Any potential issues with this heating setup?

why dont you just introduce a simple temp controller? whilst its a pretty ingenious idea other methods are a lot more practical and efficient. love the dinner plate as an anchor.

    Tassie Kit Brewer

Firstly you wont look back moving to kegs. Single best thing i ever did regarding brewing. Temperature control would be a close second. Do yourself a favour and set an old fridge up with a stc1000 controller and a heater and use that as your fermenting cabinet. Set the controller for 18 deg...

    Temperature probe suggestions

Gotcha. Yes You would really need an agitator to assist the process. A pump moving the fluid will help as well. Your get pretty crappy control with an STC regardless compared to a PID controller. Even straight proportional control would be a lot nicer. i suspect the control algorithm with an...

Well done and good effort. Being in london i expect there is a premium on any spare space.

    Temperature probe suggestions

Good point about using a paste . A better conductor with less mass will also make less of an effect regarding lag. But again given temperature control loops are generally slow anyway the advantages are often negligable. I didnt really understand what you were getting at regarding the distance...
