I had an issue with mine and my fridgie bypassed some part of the system and now heats and cools perfectly. Was a 10 minute job. Hope that it's a simple fix for you.

I don't think that the variety is protected, but I'm still suspicious that what is here in Australia may not actually be Dr Rudi.

I'm going to dig up, cut into rhizomes and plant all of them this year, but I'll bury some runners for rhizomes for next year.

I have not done any cuttings yet, but 25% success rate is about right from what I've heard.

Considering how terrible of a growing season it was for first year plants, they went ok. I ended up with about 5kg wet from 3 plants. They smelled amazing when picking.

Let them die back naturally. They are still stocking up nutrients for their dormant period. Once they brown off completely, you can cut them off at ground level. Relocate plants in July when they are dormant.
