    Melba Hops

Thats true grainer they seem to fade very quickly. I think my mistake was using them to also bitter with. To me they seem to give off a spicy peppery taste that i find unpleasant when used early. From memory i think they did mention this on the spec sheet that i read after i used them.

    Carbonator caps

Im guessing counter pressure back to keg would go: Pressurise contents of pet bottle. Connect beer line to bottle/keg Pull prv and pressure drop will draw liquid from pet bottle into keg?

How to transform good wort into **** beer. Rehydrate pitch dried yeast

No issues here I don't even rehydrate, just pitch required amount of dry yeast. No esters just a clean neutral fermentation.

Time Efficient Brewing (or How To Brew When You Have Kids)

Best improvement for me was increasing capacity. I was already single batching in a keggle, went and bought a 100L pot for double batches. Can knock out 3 batches in the one go if need be. This cuts down the amount of time i have to allocate to brewing

    When do you dry hop?

Galaxy can be a very difficult hop to master, very easy to overdo it. My experiences with it suggest to me that less is more. I don't dry hop any more than 50g for no longer than 3 days if using pellets. Ive yet to try at a lower temperature, im led to believe it can really help when using galaxy

I'm 32 and also going through this dilemma at the moment. Most of my working life i worked in the rail manufacturing industry, starting out as an apprentice boilermaker, then getting put on as a full time tradie, then moved on at the same place as a production planner for a few years. Was...

Keg King ROBOBREW 35L SINGLE VESSEL BREWERY

Why risk losing all that effort/time invested for the sake of not sanitizing a no chill cube? Takes little effort, pour some water in then add sanitizer, swish it around, empty, done. Never something I'd advocate, but each to their own

    the mrs says "no more...

time for a divorce  :kooi: She's probably more pissed about where it all is, taking up room in the pantry, could be good leverage to get a shed approved? My Mrs believe it or not, is supportive of my brewing hobby, she was the one that suggested I build a second double batch rig to feed...

S-189 finally being rolled out in 11.5g packs

Just to be a bit more specific to set you on a path that's acceptable, I use the following fermentation schedule, it seems to work well for me. First week is primary fermentation, 10-12oC. Second week, take gravity reading. If it's at 1.020 or less, set the temp controller to 16oC and let it...

    Here's something we already knew.

just last month, the morons were saying that cooking meats on a BBQ produces cancer causing toxins. Now its bacon and cured meats. The human race were cooking meat on open wood fires long before gas and electricity was discovered. Can't be all that harmful
