    4 pines stout yeast

The recipe is pretty close to the mark. Not exactly the same, but its a good recipe. This is likely one they ran when trialling the stout recipe, and would explain why they weren't fazed with this being posted up

Wheat beer (hefeweizen) tastes a bit thin?

Im no expert on this, however i usually do a 50/50 hef with wheat malt and pils malt. All of these beers that i have done have all been as you described and also lacking in the phenols and esters im chasing. The one thing i don't do that everyone else does with a hef is do a step mash. Based on...

Biab advice....I want to step up into ag

Unless you are really good on the tig welder id recommend going the weldless option. I didn't really care too much so i just welded mine with my mig but to do a sanitary weld you really need to tig weld it, and do a flawless job of it

Line & Tap cleaner w/ garden sprayer

Thats what i used. You will also have to pack a stainless washer or 2 under the poppet so theres something for it to compress against

Keg King ROBOBREW 35L SINGLE VESSEL BREWERY

Checked one of these out at countrybrewer at east Maitland the other day. Was quite impressed for the money the robobrew looks like great value. If i was starting out again i would of bypassed getting a single vessel biab rig and got one of these, in fact i have been thinking about going...

WTF are CO2 tanks so expensive here?

Id rather pay more $ for a bottle knowing it had to meet a minimum standard to be eligible for sale. My wife and son also use the shed where my keg fride is when we are entertaining so i put no price on safety and piece of mind when it comes to a pressurised vessel

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Nail Brewing red ale is easily one of my faves to keep on hand. Pours a ruby red, with a nice off white head. Up front it gives you a nice caramelly crystal malt backbone, rhen comes a perfectly balanced level of bitterness and a good whack of citra at the back of that. 35ibu might not sound...

When a H.B. Shop should say "Kits and Bits" only!

Theres no surprise The shop was a pig stye, neither he or his wife could of given a shade of **** about customer service, and don't get me started about the storage and quality of brew ingredients. I nearly died laughing when he posted a massive rant on his website blaming his suppliers for the...

    Your Worst/Dumbest Brewday Stuff Up...

Left tap on fermenter open dumpimg a couple of litres on the floor Forgetting to add brewbrite at 10min addition Various dumb moments spilling wort all over the floor Stuffing up hop additions in brewing software (forget to account for no chill bitterness) Overfill fermenter somehow leading...

    I Gots Brew Balls!

My wife was actually the one who suggested i upgrade to a double batch rig. And then invest in a keg system. She was sick of hearing me complaining about running out of beer, that and having the kitchen full of bottles lol

Pimping a wheat beer in a keg..

What was your mash schedule? Ive done a single infusion on the ones ive made and each one lacks the characteristic up front banana/clove and body of a commercially brewed hef despite being fermented at the appropriate temperature. Wheat beers need to go through a series of temperature steps...

Feral sly fox $10 at uncle Dans.

Buying first one vessel BIAB setup

From my experience, i found myself wanting to produce more wort on a brew day than just a single batch. If i had my time again i would of gone straight for a bigger pot. I mash on gas and don't have any issues hitting my temps. All you need to do is stir your water thoroughly during heating and...

    IGNITE Gas Burner....

Plan for thw future. You can pick up a campfire megajet burner for around $120 on ebay (basically what is commonly referred to as a NASA burner due to the roar they emit when full tilt). These will get a single batch system to temp in no time and will power a double batch rig no problem

Dry Hopping - How do YOU do it?

Wait till primary is done, then bomb it with my choice of hops (around 100g if i want a heap of aroma/flavour) for around 3-4 days while cold crashing seemdas ist ein voller Kombination wunderbar!s to work fine for me.

Is it worth reconditioning these Firestone Kegs

The solder will be soft. Id be concerned about the kegs ability to hold pressure, and as already stated if its already been patched its likely the keg has had its day

I hope it will be better than their jg fitting knock offs

    Keg King Intertap

Are these compatible with snaplok adapters? Would not mind getting one of these if i can fit it to a snaplok adapter
