    Coopers Sparkling yeast flavour

    Thanks Kelbygreen I understand that have been using coopers yeast from bottle for 30 plus years and have kept a large yeast ranch of many other variety s on slants for 15+ years what I am after is the correct terminology for the additional flavors how would a BJC describe it.

    2l Flask & 2l Starter Of 3068

    Below is a Youtube link to a hefeweizen I did last month. I used Wyeast 3068 at 22deg C. As you can see its a very active yeast, I made sure I had lots of head space and blow off tube.

    Storing Agar Wort

    Yeh when it cooled I tipped the non stick pot over and ended up with puck. I have since slice the puck into quarters and placed in the freezer. I will give it a few weeks then run it through the pressure cooker for 25mins to autoclave it then pour it onto some Petri dishes to test it. Could be handy

    Storing Agar Wort

    I made up a batch off agar and wort today to make some slants. on completion I left the remaining mix in the pot to cool. This left me with a solid puck 1 inch thick by 6 inch dia. My question is can I freeze this puck and use it again liquifying it in the pressure cooker as I sterilize it. ;)
