    STC-1000 jumping temperature

If you have a decent soldering iron, I would retouch (solder) any joints that look suspect, or any at all really just to be sure it isn't a dry joint, and have a magnified close inspection of the PCB for cracks.

Make sure the sensor wire is not close to any mains power wires may help.

    Show us ya HOPS!!!

You might be giving them to much nitrogen for too long, its really only needed in quantity during the climbing phase, once the the flowers start to form on the laterals, back off the food, other wise the plant produces more leaf growth rather than prioritising making flowers before the end of...

    Show us ya HOPS!!!

It's only the first year you said, so you can't expect to much from the 1st year, they need 2 or 3 years to establish a decent root system. The rhizome is the mother and reserve energy storage for the next years growth spurt as it comes up for spring growth and starts climbing, so the bigger the...

    Show us ya HOPS!!!

They look good! If its just your first year, then they are doing ok, make sure your red soil has drainage so they don't drown in the winter. I find they can handle heat as long as they have plenty of water and keep some ground cover happening so the soil doesn't get to hot as well, feed them...

    Show us ya HOPS!!!

Wrong time of the year, you need to wait until winter when they are dormant. Not sure how they will go in Brisbane, maybe someone has or is growing hops up there, you might need a bit of research to see if the winter is cold enough to put em to sleep.

    Show us ya HOPS!!!

I have made a drying cabinet from an old cupboard style clothes drier someone gave me. Made up draw runners and drying racks, then replaced the old heater coil at the base of the cabinet with a new cheap blower heater and modified the electrics inside to be controlled by the original...

    Tilt Hydrometers

I used to do readings and record the info, but then I realised that for a home brew set up, just stick the blow off pipe into a bottle of satanised water and listen to the bubble popping speed is just as good. Now I don't measure the fall, the "Popping" tells me all.

    RAPT Pill

You did refund my money, that's not a problem, but you gave me the flick because I complained about the delay to repost with the right postage protocols that you as the seller were responsible for, all you had to say was I will get it right next time, but obviously it was to much bother for you...

    RAPT Pill

Shame you don't give very good customer service Tjorben, I tried to buy the Hydrom from your website last year, but after long delays with posting the item, and then bad attitude when I complain about the delay, you gave up and refunded my money with a "stuff you Aussie foreigner" & "I have...

Corny keg beer out disconnect fittings

Possible temperature contraction difference of the materials involved making things a bit to tight when cold, try a quick hot air blast, or a little hot water over the disconnect before releasing.

Bridging the carbonation gap (or the gap in my understanding!)

Mostly concur with Midnight Brew, but I use a stainless pressure capable 50L (46L actual liquid) fermenter and adopt the slow ramp up of pressure over days finishing around 20psi. By the time you chill that down, it still has a positive pressure, so not sure why you would remove the KL spunding...

Corny keg beer out disconnect fittings

Are you putting a bit of lube on the Oring of the post before connecting? Or maybe they're getting gummed up with old beer?

Bridging the carbonation gap (or the gap in my understanding!)

Glad to hear it worked out ok! I usually have a Brown Ale on the go these days with occasional SMASH Ale produced, just seem quiet happy with those ATM. I find just brewing one type that I like and getting consistent results, lets me tweak the recipe little by little to fine tune it to my...
