    beer canning melbourne

The problem is the cans , you can only buy them in massive amounts and that's a lot of capital to outlay > $20000 and the more colours you have printed on them, the more the cost rises. It's only viable really for large scale operations.

    Hi from corrimal

Hey Craig, There's a local ( Illawarra and south coast) group of brewers you should join , IBU (Illawarra Brewers Union). There are some great brewers around you there who can help with supplies and advice. Roosterboy

    We are going on kickstarter

I would like to see a proper review of this , there must be a lot of assumptions in the algorithm. I don't want to be negative but I think at best it would give guesstimates .

For Sale NEW German made 5000mL erlenmeyer conical flask.

OK how about this, I looked into the price for the wide neck DURAN Schott Erlenmeyer flasks and it's a significant increase in price which I don't think people will want and even more expensive if yo go to the super heavy duty range. However there is another company I can get SIMAX European...

For Sale NEW German made 5000mL erlenmeyer conical flask.

The price is for the narrow neck, that's what I use mainly because the OCD side of me says smaller neck equals smaller chance of contamination and the silicone stoppers may fit a bit better. But I don't care , what ever people want. I'll just have to check the price on the wide neck. I' m on the...

For Sale NEW German made 5000mL erlenmeyer conical flask.

As there are minimum order quantities for 1 L and 2 L flasks and I don't want to go to another company. I'm thinking of just doing the 3 L and 5 L flasks. They would be 3000 mL DURAN Schott Erlenmeyer conical flask $ 78.00 + postage 5000 mL =...

For Sale NEW German made 5000mL erlenmeyer conical flask.

I would have to order them in and I would allow 6 weeks for that. There are minimum buys for 800mL, 1000mL and 2000mL of 10 units . If we could get more interest it would be good. I can get rubber/silicon stoppers also with or without drilled hole(s) for the conical flasks.

For Sale NEW German made 5000mL erlenmeyer conical flask.

I can get them from the importer , I could sell them heaps cheaper than this but I would probably have to order at least 6 as importers don't like bringing in just 1. Also, the brand droid bought would have been a cheaper Chinese made version , not German made. If there are a couple of people...

Lion Quits Craft Beer Industry Association

The difference is a small guy is just trying to survive and grow. The big multinationals in any industry try to reduce competition to protect their market share , that is a fact. Here in Australia, the small brewery will nearly always be owned by Australians, that's the BIG difference in my...

    G'day from Mandurah

Just depends on how much money you are prepared to spend. Plastic drum $30 - $40 or spend a bit more for a plastic conical $ 120 - $140 (eg fermentasaurus) or heaps more for a SS unit. .

That is true and probably a good position for it.

    Are Cheeky Peak closing shop?

I think they will sell it , they might drop the price a little bit. The convenience of all the equipment in one spot and a 500 BM at the heart of it will be very attractive. They told me during the warmer months they could sell as much beer as quick as they could brew it. The problem in country...

    Are Cheeky Peak closing shop?

This would sell quick by itself. I know it was a small group of people running it, maybe too much work and cashing in now. The funny thing is , I thought they would find their home brew section under pressure once Amazon opens.

Gerry hates Amazon, so how will it change Home Brew ?

The SMH today confirms amazon is a game changer , the article says it's easier to list what they don't sell.

Best mesh size for a GF/BM/BE type

The SS filter baskets that are especially popular in the US are mesh, usually have 400 micron mesh. The baskets I had made were 400 micron and gave a very clear wort . But if you only have filtering mesh at both ends it would have to be wider hole.
