I have been siphoning the wort out of my pot for the last 6 months or so and have had enough. Went out and bought a ball tap to put in the side, anything to make it easier. Will be drilling and installing when I get back from holidays. What do you guys suggest to seal it? Cheers.

Whenever we are looking for books, we go to booko.com.au and it searches pretty much all the book sellers and gives you a rundown on prices with postage etc. Pretty handy.

Transferred this brew to a keg this arvo, very happy with the result (so far). Instead of the Chinook, I used Warrior (thats what the LHBS had in stock) to a ratio of 1gW:1.4gC. The hop flavour out of the fermenter is fairly well balanced, nothing overpowering at all and there is a nice hint of...

No free delivery on the 5th keg from CB. Works out @ $51.64 per keg delivered to my place (Nth QLD) opposed to $58.25 per keg from mybeershop (taking into consideration the 10% June special). The kegs from MBS are cleaned and pressure tested before delivery too though.

Tasted fantastic. Surprising how many mates come around and specifically asked for it! Very enjoyable beer, heading to the LHBS to try out an AG BIAB version today. Only issue I had was that the keg leaked about 1/4 of its contents onto the bottom of the fridge. Damn seals! Cheers.

Another convert here. Was doing k&k for about 6 months. Did my first AG a couple of weekends ago, had a fair bit of loss through the boil and ended up with a light (3.1%) beer. Second attempt last weekend was much better. Used a red bucket for the sparge and the expected ABV is around 6%...

I haven't tried any of the others, I use BrewBlogger. For my limited use it works pretty well, an internet based program that I had my B-I-L set up on his website. You can adjust/add to the ingredients list as required and I have found it fairly easy to use.
