    What about 55 dough in then 62 for 30 68 for 30 72 for 10 78 for 10 Need to do some research on this also Like the idea 1c per/min Raise to sach 65 then 78 to finish sounds good nice & simple Depends on beer style too I suppose

    Cheers mate that was what I was after Went as low as I could go when drilling then bent the element a tad also Will lower the malt pipe then to 20 mm Was thinking about buying a grain father urn for sparging heat to 78c & sparge to volume

    Yep I used to be about 2.5 - 3 L per kg With the new 1 V will have to up it just wondering what other 1V brewers use Cheers

    Just about to test my single vessel build with some grain It is a keggle with return going to the top & bottom style taken from QKev's buid & many others on here Might go for a APA first up say 4.5kg of grain With 20 L water just past the bottom of the big W pot I could lower the pot more but...

    Havent got the kk fermenter but pressure ferment also Always left with a few botts to fill but because its carbed its a pain Had an idea to lengthen the beer line which I use with a bottle filler to lesson the foam Last one was the worst being a Kolsch which I added some dex to get the carb...

    Malt Pipe question

    I have a malt pipe (Big W pot ) but havent used it yet Was thinking of 25 L mash in for 15 -16 L then sparge to get to 30 - 32 L 4 - 5 kg of grain but this would be a high grain to water ratio ? Hopefully end up with 25 L to fill cube 22 - 23 L Like the idea of raising slowly for sparge mint...

    30 min mash might as well reduce you're grain bill & go the 90 min one Then again I could be wrong Mash temp I understand more body less fermentables mouthfeel Whats the go for shorter mash times
