    CO2 Back up

You can of course also buy an adapter that will allow you to fill your Sodastream cylinder from your 2.7. Kegland sell it and have a how to do it video. They work well and it's best to freeze the sodastream cylinder before filling and do it when the 2.7 is just refilled ( its a pressure thing )...

    Drilling drain hole in freezer.

Thanks been and taken another picture the fridge freezer is outside and doesn't show any lines. That general glow I think was from the light coming through the window. Our freezer has very obvious lines in the front of it so quite different to the ferment fridge freezer, which as you say fits...

    Mould!

Just wondering why you wouldn't try detergent and some oxiclean / pbw first on the jacket, not sure that vinegar is my go to for cleaning a stained bit of clothing.

    Mould!

Condensation / non drying is a relation between temperature and the dew point. If you get the temperature above the dew point things will dry so hairdryer etc can be good for that ducted in and out of kegs. Then leave a drying sachet in there once it's " dry " but seal it up and remember to...

    New brewer in Wollongong

@Barry and @yankinoz Your temp tips might be in vain as @rjheckenberg said " I'm now moving to BIAB and have the kit ready to go. I've got control over the fermenting temp now as well with a chest freezer and inkbird. So the next lot should turn out better. " and @Barry also re your bottling...

    Drilling drain hole in freezer.

My flir picture of the side of the fridge freezer suggests that there are coolant lines embedded in the insulation at the sides of it. There is no external grille type element on the back of it. If they aren't in the side and not in a grille on the back as per an old style fridge where are they?

    Electric brewery options

@djackal Steam condenser well worth the build effort, pictured my pimped Guten 70, whirlpool fitted, counterflow chiller, hop missile, condenser and changed the controller to a smartPID, works a treat. Miles better than the original on off controller on the Guten.

Pressure fermented and then cold crashed - closed brew

If you match your pressure to the temp and use a calculator then you'll get the vols correct straight off the bat, the pressure will need to be higher than 15psi at say 22 celsius. Have a look at Beer Carbonation Calculator - DrHans Brewery %

Pressure fermented and then cold crashed - closed brew

@trustyrusty 187 posts here about the subject might give you some pointers and warnings https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/have-you-tried-fermenting-and-serving-from-the-same-keg-without-transferring.676007/ and others might say why bother pressure fermenting? and I've saved you a post @MHB

That's a bonus provided you get the money back from the other people. How's all that rain for you and the grape harvest? Did you get it done before the monsoon I've seen on the TV?

    Drilling drain hole in freezer.

There weren't any coolant lines in the floor of the freezer on top of my fridge freezer. Drilled a decent hole in it.

    Saison fermentation timing

I wouldn't bother even opening it to check at day 8 etc as you can easily leave it and it risks less contamination by not opening it. Bottle at your leisure when you get back and take a gravity reading for your records at that time.

    I need some plumbing.

As @MHB says bigger pipe will be much easier on your system. Double the diameter you increase the flow down a pipe 16x. Never mind the length that's linear, it's the width that matters.

    I need some plumbing.

@Sy Bernot You can get a connector that will screw onto the threaded part of the bulkhead I just plugged my Evabarrier into this, there is a bigger hole on the inside of the keg fridge to accomodate this so no dangly bits. I used one of these but I think there is a john guest that would do...

@busman The post here even express courier is appalling at the moment. Would cost you an arm and a leg as well so your roaming and picking the vines would be over. Some examples of post for me of late Postcard six weeks waiting in Auckland before getting on plane to Italy and another fortnight...

    Fermenting Fridge Recommendations?

@Grok and @find_another_slave I ordered replacement O rings for the keg posts and the various parts of fermentasaurus in anticipation of the day of failure.

Sadly no trips to Aus planned at the moment otherwise I'd suitcase it for you. I normally come back with a case load of goodies from the 2 main aus suppliers as they are normally a lot cheaper. I looked yesterday nukataps here are about 43 aus dollars each and kegland 25 each. Luckily have just...

I'm very lucky my bottom not sagging yet so no need for a false one, it does have a crack in it but no need for a hinge!!

That's worked well but we can only see what's in your boiler, the bit we can't see in your fermenter is what matters.
