    Sanitise urn - no chill

    Came across this old thread. My urn now serves as a HLT only, but DAYYYUM when I cleaned the stock tap is was disgusting. Now has a ball valve. If anyone searches and finds this thread as has an urn, take it apart and clean it or replace it asap!

    Bad habit Ive seen is chucking beer in a freezer for an hour then cracking and pouring it. Very bad for head especially homebrew.

    Moving to all electric so this requires a new home. http://m.raysoutdoors.com.au/Product/Campfire-Megajet-Burner/215772 they are nicknamed NASA burner for a reason, very powerful and will easily handle big batches, but can be dialled right down for single batches. No soot like cheaper burners...

    Who uses a mobile tablet for brewing?

    I used to just print the brew day sheet, then used the phone app but found it a bit restrictive. I prefer to use my laptop so I can enter notes, easily change things if required.

    I've had no issues with keg king silicon hose. Half the price of most other places too...

    If the base is flat. Ie flat piece with screw holes is flat the outlet is up/horizontal and inlet is vertical...points towards you I mount mine flat on a piece of wood.
