I'd be checking there isnt an issue with the temp controller, before investigating the freezer. Test it with some hot and cold water.

How many kegs do you have? Possible you've carbed the wrong keg?

How is the freezer temp controlled? STC-1000? A freezer shouldn't have any issues staying at 18c.

You can get cheap foodsafe hose from Bunnings or Masters, or look at the little brown pumps that Kaiser mentioned.

All I have to add is, do NOT boil the strawberries prior to adding to the fermenter. Learnt that lesson the hard way.
