    S-04 not performing as expected

using a refractometer to read the fg of fermented beer requires you to have the OG and to use a converter to work out what the real FG is so using beersmiths refract tool if the OG was 1.043 then with a refract reading of 1.026 would give a FG of 1.015 cheers steve

    Braumeister NEXTGEN Build

Hey Angus, All my tubing underneath is 3/8" so it naturally adds resistance, I was planning on adding a reduced bore insert if I need it but I didn't. The only problem with a valve is you will have to clean it every now and then. I added a feature to the brauduino that the pump runs in the boil...

Mathos Arduino controller - adding time delay

Hey Lael, here is Mikes code https://github.com/mdwilson/braumiser-controller/blob/master/MikesBrauduino2v5.ino hope you don't mide mike I could add a time delay to the brauduino if people want, I have that option in the original braumiser but have never used it. cheers steve

    Braumeister NEXTGEN Build

the 3l is the liquor to grist ratio ie 3l/kg will need a vessel size of 3.65 l per kg of grain, 3l for the water and 0.65l for the grain. You can't just pack the malt pie full of malt, you need some space for the water to flow thru so it comes down to the liquor to grist ratio or to put it...

How much grain in the malt pipe - crushed grain packing density?

I have the same size malt pipe and it really hits the limit at 2.6kg, my extraction efficiency drops to about 70% at that amount of grain, at 2kg my efficiency is above 80%. You want to keep the liquor to grist ratio above 2.3l/kg so to work that out it would be: max grain bill (Kg) = malt...

Elec brew in the bag control

"The Pico-Brew E-BIAB system was developed by a long time All-Grain home brewer and engineer to simplify the homebrewing process. The designer has been using the Brew in a Bag technique for over 20 years" this guy must have of invented this technique for $1000 dollars + $300 for a pump kit is...

    Grain Mill Help!

as Batz said, it has been turned off centre so you can adjust the gap, you will need to find a lathe and someone that can turn it up for you, I wouldn't bother with the knurling as it would add unnecessary cost. Also it might help to indicate where you are as there might be a generous fitter &...
