    Blood alcohol tester

A friend of mines father works for Drager who apparently produce the units the Vic police use for RBT. While it's not something I've ever seen the need for, a few of us recently had the opportunity to buy their personal model for near cost price. I've found it to be a great little unit. We've...

    No Topic Thread

Just admit it wasn't the stylish pics in the window that drew you to paying more money for a men's cut. It's not the shrew that goes sniffing for the weasel...

Bastids. We recently finished the twin towers in Box Hill but while we were working there they changed the whitehorse/surrey rd red light camera to a speed camera that drops to 40kph during school times. We were starting early and so would be driving home around 2:30pm, almost an hour before the...

10mm, 3/8" drive deep impact socket. Was an awesome little socket hence me spending so much of Fomoco's time looking for it.

Open cut mine? Oh you poor thing. Hope you can scratch together the coin to replace it...;) I hate losing tools. I spent 2 hours searching for a Snap On socket in the front end of a new Ranger I'd put a short motor in. Must've fallen into a tear in the space/time continuum cause that over...

    Show me your controller box

Heap of threads around for inspiration. Here's one I started with a few examples if you can wade through the banter. https://aussiehomebrewer.com/threads/show-us-your-brew-controller.81338/ Heap of others like this one: https://aussiehomebrewer.com/threads/my-brew-controller-box.72614/ Can't...

I had some rear worklights in my last 4wd that could be used to similar effect although I never did. Was on eastlink the other morning and watched some cockhead in a Patrol tailgating a plodder in the right hand lane( was doing just over the limit but not overtaking), flashing his lights and...

You can't seriously be blaming the shopkeep. Clearly, as the cyclist, you were at fault.

Former caravan driver hater, now caravan owner. It's been 3 years since I last abused a grey nomad. Well maybe the odd one here and there. I try and maintain the speed limit or above. Always stay left were applicable. Use the slow vehicle lane if safe to do so. Hell, I even pull over if there's...

    McGregor vs Mayweather

Not denying Mayweather his ability, but being an undefeated boxer in this modern age isn't as impressive a feat as it would of been 20-30 years ago. Todays boxers, or more likely their managers, seem to pick and choose their fights depending on the surety of a win. It's more about holding the...

    Any Other Hobbies?

A can of butane, some pvc pipe and a piezo igniter off the BBQ was all you'd need to launch an orange halfway across the suburb.

    Any Other Hobbies?

My old auto prac teacher in high school told us on the first day he had us about a similar instance in his class. Air blower in the ***, air into the bloodstream, effectively a vapour lock to the heart, excruciating death. These were just high school students mind you. But, I bet we're all...

Used to use one of these for seating beads in low profile tyres. Didn't need a licence for it, just common sense. Unlike this clown.

    Any Other Hobbies?

Would a pneumatic launcher be illegal? I understand the old lemon launcher might be but can't see why one relying on air pressure would be. Then again, you need a licence for an air rifle or paintball gun. I bought a slingshot a while back from two mutual gunshops. One sold the handle, the other...

    Whirlpool Paddle...?

I just welded a short piece of 1/2" ss tube 90 degrees to a shaft of the same tube. Fits in a 13mm drill chuck and creates an awesome whirlpool. You can see the bottom of a 70l pot! I don't see the need for perforated sheet. Looks a bit gimmicky if you ask me.

    Any Other Hobbies?

Surf fishing is also my go to now when it comes to wetting a line. Mainly due to the fact that most of our holidays are in the van and along the coast somewhere where the kids can be entertained and I can still get out there and catch something. Towing the van restricts us from using a boat...

    Spicy Belch Jerky

Hey ho you pack of jerky lovers. Finally got around to giving this a go with an old food dehydrator I borrowed off the old man. Bought a cut of silverside tonight and after marinating and bagging it up I wondered whether the marbling was a bit excessive for jerky? Any experts in the house?
